I have signed what I think are 2 quality wing backs in Monzon and Van der wiel in my game now, and was thinking of going 3-2-2-1-2 with them providing my width....but what do I do with Bale??? So it won't work :/

city just paid 30m for him on my game at end of season 1, so sell if he dont fit

Started a new game as spurs manager.

Got rid of Keane, woodgate and Ekotto, bought Eden Hazard, Kadlec, Van Der Wiel and Zezinho.


I've won the 1st 5 matches comfortably with a 3-0 victory over Gunners away being the talking point.

Playing a 4-5-1 counter formation with 2 wingers and 3 flat on the middle.

Pavlyuchenko has been a beast, playing him as poacher (run to ball option)

Belgium would be fun, mostly because they got some really promising young players.

You could build a really good national team in 5-7 years

Kadlec did really good in the friendly matches but haven't really made the big step yet, however he's young and it's still early in the season.

Hazard and vaart as far away from each other as the can get

Hazard as Winger, Vaart as inside forward.


Midfielders side by side in the middle Modric as att playmaker, Sando as cental mid defend and Jenas as central mid support.

Bale: full back support.

Gallas: Limited def, defend.

King: Central Def, defend.

Wiel: Full back, auto.

my problem with this game is the player "values" unless its someone thats come through youth or you got on a free then the club just values them at whatever was paid for them

so if u spend 3 million on some1 thats worth 10k


thier value will be 3 million

Get a report card from a scout and you'll get a fair idea what the player is about, check average rating from played games and workrate as well.

I agree prices seem a bit silly, seems like the prices are set once a year and then keep steady till next time the game values players.

Would be very difficult to keep a running tab of players in a game tho?

What I have found that if a player is <10mill you can usaully get them at a reasonable enouh price, but anyone valued at more than that you are looking at 20-30 mill atleast.

I was trying to sign Henrique from Santos, he was valued at about 6 mil Euro, Inter and real bid about 16 mil which got accepted but he refused, then i tried to bid on him ended at 21 mil and got rejected, then i commented on him stating that i wanted to buy him and offered 10 million euro and got him signed.

That's not the AI, teams have never done well in this game if you change tactics too much. Also playing defensively is no sure way to draw, you see it in real life all the time, give the other team the ball and time and they hurt you.

Sometimes it's just seems impossible yeah.. i've been working wonders with Spurs winning the premiership, FA, Supercup, champion cup in my first season, didn't save once.

usually playing counter with a really strong ball winning midfield, if i get pressed i usually switch to control, attack or sometimes normal, usually works well specially in tough matches.

upsets just happens.. went all in against a relegation threatened Wigan thinking i'd win 6 or 7-0 and lost 0-2 hehe

I'm in first place with my spurs team but I play Control. The difference between spurs, and my last game with Sunderland is massive. the most frustrating thing is I bought some great players like Henrique and Lukaku with that team but just couldn't get them to win.

Man City are needing to ship of Balotelli because he doesnt like it there. They wanted 14m (originally 21m but no takers at start of season 2, dropped to 14m in November). Forced the deal down to 12.75m but really dont know if I need the guy.

Pretty cheap for someone of the quality/potential but when you got Rossi, Rooney, Berbatov, Hernandez in the first team. Welbeck and Macheda out on loan, and some quality upcoming youngsters it seems unnecessary.

Spose could get him for when i play the front 3 formation to stick on the left, but rarely use it so he probably be bitchy, especially as he an unloyal bugger

I find it best to buy him up, play him for one season and then move him on to a club outside England for a small profit. That way he doesn't get to take any points off you during the season.
