just fucked my saints game by spending £20k a week on luis jiminez for no particular reason. £16k p/w over by wage bill and no one to sell. woops.

I also still have bent and bought Andy Carrol on the cheap.

I still struggle against bolton and blackburn though :/

Your midfield isn't that great. Cattermole is a bit poo and liability, not sure which Henrique you refer to and Wijnaldum (if it's who I think you mean) is only just a roational premier league player (in terms of quality). Your centre backs are pretty weak as well.

i played it in Beta, but it was a bit random, not sure if they've fixed it yet, it was more like rolling a dice than anything to be honest, you could win games 3-0 4-0 etc then suddenly lose 5-0 six games straight, and very little you did seemed to have any effect on it

though there were some pretty interesting teams out there, one guy at the time set up an all-asian/middle eastern team and it looked pretty good (and compared to some of the more european based teams, DAMN cheap)

Finally got this. Going well so far as Man utd. Top of league, unbeaten after 10 league games and in November.

Started with No Transfers allowed, so not done anything with the squad so far. But just been informed about a £54m budget for the January window, so can strengthen where Ferguson didnt. Namely the goalkeeper will need to be done.

Could get Guisseppe Rossi in for £17.5m as wish never sold him, but tbh I have found that a 4-3-3 with Chicharito up top on his own (rooney plays wide or drops into creative midfield slot) is my strongest formation at the moment. Just seem to give to much away with the 4-3-1-2 setup I was trying to use. Means I got too many forwards as is due to Chic being rather affective.

Unfortunately we are just like real life, struggle to get the results quite often but managing to get there. Most annoying result was a 0-0 with Real Madrid in the group stage of CL played at OT. 20+ shots from me, and just 2 from them yet couldnt win it. lol. They didnt have a shot until the 80th or so minute.

Seems harder to shift players in this version, no one will take Owen from me for as little as 500k.

Delayed the Rossi transfer, knocked 200k of his monthly wage compared to what he was after though, which makes carrying the deal through appealing but could be pointless

So i bought this game recently and decided to give it a go as manager for Palermo.

Had a pretty good 1st season, finnishing #5 with Inter winning the liga then Milan, Juventus and Sampdoria.

My 2nd year in charge have been absolutely fantastic with only a few games left of the season i find my self in 1st place with a couple of points between me and the other top teams.

Now the curious part, the other teams in top 5 this year is: Catania, Genoa, Napoli and Roma.

Milan is nr. 6 while Inter and Juve is all the way down at #10 and 11.

Have you guys experienced the same inconsistency with the top teams or is it just Italy that is screwed?

It happens in Italy, in mine Palermo have won Serie A 4 seasons in a row.. so they should to tbh as they some of games gems in Abel Hernandez and Javier Pastore

I for a laugh tried to issue a contract as assistant expecting to be told to bugger off.
He happy with terms but wants time to decide on option.

I am having a cracking first season with spurs. I'm one point behind Chelsea in second place eqyal on 25 games played. Even better because all the signings I have made are ones for the futures. Really excited about Suso who is "the next xavi"

i actually managed an unbeaten season... but was LOTS of lucky results. Drew 8 games in the league however most them were against poor teams, and included last gasp equalisers... Hernandez 6month injury really hurt my team. Just glad i sorted out my defensive problems, and got Adler in January to help out in the cup competitions (other then CL as tied) so I could rest Edwin.

Jose just turned down the contract offer after 2weeks of diliberating. Shame that as I think Phelan gonna take the Birmingham manager job very soon, as they offered it to him. Mind you, they may not pay his compansation as contract runs to 2014. lol
May try and get Jose again, but I cant see him ever accepting an assistant job, but the fact he would consider it is just funny

Final of the CL coming up... against Marseille... dunno how OM got there, they beat some good opposition including Real Madrid in teh Semi's... they went through 4-3 after winning the 2nd leg, at home, 3-1.

Need to try ship off some players in the upcoming window.. hardly sold anyone, though got 15m for Hargraeves of Villa in January... gonna get about 12m for Park (was the buyout clause on loan i sent him out on).
Celtic would pay 10m loan amount for De Leat, but he keeps rejecting their offers so gonna be stuck with him. Decent enough youngster but cant see him turning into anything.

Finding it very very hard to sell players myself. I was offloading Robbie Keane to either Birmingham or Stoke just to get nuumbers down.....and he demands that I pay him 35 grand a week until the end of his current contract if I want him to move! Cheeky tit....its rotting in the reserves for you boyo.

Im going to be paying alot of wages to Park to leave. However his value was down at 3m, getting 11.25m for him, year on contract. Dont think anyone will pay out above 7m for him if offer him out, and as such i better off even wiht fact i got to pay about 1m of wages for the next year

Oh and only managed to win the CL final on penalties, even though they played with 10 men for 2/3rds game. grrrrrrrrrr. But then berbatov was sole striker in match due to rooney and hernandez injured and Rossi cup tied.
won shoot out 3-2, went to sudden death after we each missed 3 of our first 5 alloted pens. lol
