Do you have a way of doing your buying and selling online? Because trying to do it with an xbox controler is a pain in the bollox!

I spunked all of my coins this morning on some golds I thought I'd flip for profit (my team is still all bronze/silver). One of them was Downing....

Is this a viable way to make coins? With the rate I'm making them right now I'll never get a team of good gold players!

I got ahold of the game with the 2700 FIFA points in or something, so I had a nice full gold Bundesliga side from the get go. Best to get some FIFA points & get some packs.

Then through packs I was able to get the better players, Ozil, Neuer, Lahm etc.

What were you doing exactly, buying packs with coins and selling the players? Or just buying random gold players on the market and trying to sell them on for more than you paid?

If it's the former - hell no. If you want to buy packs (I'd advise against it in 100% of cases, as the odds are so massively stacked against you) then the only 'viable' way to do it is to buy them with real money.

If it's the latter, you should focus on one or two players, work out their lowest buy now price and then how much you can buy them for + sell them on for profit. You also have to factor in the 5% tax on every sale on the auction house - meaning if you sell something for 10,000 coins, you get 9,500 coins from the sale. I use this method to make all my coins, so here's a working example of how I've been doing it recently - Gareth Bale's lowest BIN was 67,000 at the time, so I bidded on any Bale's below 62,000 and put a bid of around 60-61,500 on them. I'd bid on upwards of 30-40 cards (I have a lot of collateral) and then sell on what I won for profit. I'd probably win 5-10 if I was lucky out of every 100 I bidded on. Those 5-10 cards, however, would be bringing in around 15,000 coins in profit after tax. If you do this with multiple players at a time, you can easily pull in 100,000 per day with a few hours 'work' (do it while watching shows, or at work in my case :p). This is obviously something you'd have to scale down with a lower starting coin total, but take the same method and apply it to a similarly popular player in a popular league (BPL -> La Liga -> Serie A -> Bundesliga in FUT) or nation (Brazil, France, England are the main ones) and you have an easy way to consistently make coins safely so long as you are careful and observant of the market. Check prices every few hours to ensure there have been no major market fluctuations, don't buy cards in bad formations (5221 etc) and don't get involved in bidding wars. Bid what you want to pay, if you win great, if you don't bid on another card.

There's also other slightly more 'advanced' techniques such as buying up players you think will be in the team of the week, or players that have simply had a good game or having one because their price will often temporarily rise slightly. This is a much more high risk method though.

*snip*

I've been buying individual players. For example last night I bought Kaka for a 1000 bid thinking that today/ after tonights game, people would be bidding on Real players.

What's your method of checking the market value of a player?

I usually go to www.ultimatedb.nl to check the average price, then go on FUT and search for the player at that price BIN, then keep lowering the BIN until he no longer appears.

I also put in a bid for Javi Martinez after lastnights game and found out I'd won it this morning. Hopefully now I can flip him for some profit.

Bought him for 800 and ended up selling him at a BIN of 2000. Used that to buy Lewandowski at 1200 and have a bid of 850 on Sahin....Hopefully those two and Kaka will do well in tonights game and net me some profit!

Seems like more of a trading game rather than a football game. Skills seems to have been put aside in UT. Trade/buy your way to the top and win because you have golden and glimmering Messi and Ronaldos running all over the place

Tbh it's really not the case. I have a pretty insane record compared to most players and I play with a bunch of silver players in my team. The most expensive players are most certainly really good, but not really worth the coins outside of the vanity.

Right what should I put Lewy up for sale for after that beut of a performance? Seems most cards on the market have bids of around 12-15k on them right now.

This game can fuck right off. 2 points away from the Division 1 title, the utter cunt I'm playing against quits in the 3rd minute and the game ends as a draw?

"You will remain in the current division"

Since when the fuck does the opponent quitting count as a draw/loss anyway?! Sometimes it gives me a 3-0 victory.

If you're winning you get the win, if it's a draw I think it's either counted as a draw or as if it never happened and I have no idea what happens if your opponent quits when they're winning. :p

Seasons is even worse - no penalty for quitting before 5mins, so if you score an early goal everyone just quits. Most pathetic shit I've ever seen.

I wouldn't mind if that was the case in UT, as least it wouldn't go down as a loss/draw D: I tend to just piss on for the first 5 mins in seasons to prevent people doing that.

scoring within the first 3-4 minutes normally just means the other guy quits, it seems to take those as "null" games usually though and you have to play it again, its annoying when it gets classed as a draw. ive had that happen to me in exactly the same circumstances as Billargh, needed a win to get title and other guy quit :(

I had three people in a row quit on me within the first 10mins this morning, made for a very quick 7-0-0 div1 title. :p

I'd offer you a game, but I figure you have a rubbish team if you just started. ;o
