I don't eat that much meat these days.
I'd eat better but for the missus. She's a great cook and the variety of good home-cooked meals I get is fantastic, but there's always too much of them and being a butchers daughter they're mostly meat-heavy.

The 5:2 thing means I do get lots of veggie stir fries tho. Massive ones, like 4-500 calories worth of vegetables (which is hewuge).

If I was on my own I'd have the same meals all the time, but they'd probably work out healthier.

Tesco do these chopped vegetable pot things, just carrots, onions, etc, in 300g plastic pots. About a quid each. I often buy a few of those, mix em all up in a bowl and add salad cream. The downside is that you end up farting for about six hours straight.

I just ran a mile in 6.36. Pretty damn chuffed with that. I reckon I can go faster too.

My fitness is taking a hit. Need to get our on the bike more but can't motivate myself. Need to hit some upper body callasthenic-type work but I find it as hard to do that as the gym :(

Try to get some friends/relatives to go with you. When I get out of the routine, find it easier to get back into it if someone else is going with me. However, you'll probably be on your own afterward if they're not serious...which usually happens to me. They come the first time but then make excuses afterward lol.

I just did my eighth half marathon this year (not including longer distances) in record time. Then I got home to find that the GPS on my phone wasn't working properly and had recorded dodgy times :(

Just completed the second day of 6 weeks worth of FTP Builder training. Hour of sprints on the bike. I feel, look...and very likely taste and smell...like death. :eek7:

I know the wirral way from Chester really well (my sister lives just off the cubbins green turnoff at Calday) and of course down the front - but what's it like up the other side of the mersey?

Not sure which bit you mean?

Also, fail for getting the train from Hamilton Square when you could have gotten the ferry ;)

The ferry takes ages, stinks, and costs a lot more than the train :)

Second week's FTP training - tempo day is behind me. I saw Death. It smiled at me and kept whispering in my ear to let go and let the darkness take me away. It said things would be better if I did. It said there would be cookies and boobs on the other side.

FTP training
Just googled that. Looks like a right ballache.

Since the ride last week I've developed numbness and tingling at the ends of the thumb and fingers of my left hand. Think it's carpal tunnel. I was hoping it was going to go away, but... :(

Having plateud forever in the bench press I've started following Ed Coan bench press program. Will see if it reaps any results!
