I can't say I agree... I've asked him to close a thread once of twice, and he did. I've asked him to stick/unstick threads on several occasions and he did.
He doesn't reply to the requests, but that doesn't mean they don't get read or acted upon if he deems it necessary.

Not even that bothered about the postcount, because at the end of the day, I got those posts by having conversations on eOT threads mostly, while I was bored. The purpose of the posts/conversations, were to entertain me... they did their job.
What I do find annoying, is that the conversation threads get locked/deleted, yet "WTF M8 J00R SAVAGE IS STRONG WANNA DUEL IRL" threads, are not. :x
