Don't think I've laughed so much in ages.

So much we couldn't tell even our own people - it was difficult enough just to keep the info/comms flowing so people were coordinated.

That was half planning and half seat of the pants.

So much went wrong and we rallied anyway. To say what went wrong where would give away things we may do again. So forget it

Some people who need to be thanked:

Zapsi, who started the whole thing rolling and without whom there would have been no raid. Avon as ever, doing organising things that never get noticed, but always appreciated.

Jimmae and Keriwin without whom one side of the raid would have collapsed.

Kharok, Gaeswen and Mrburns - all did more than expected with least warning.


And something else...

There was one thing that made me feel small tonight: the number of Mids that went along with something without having any idea what was going on. The amount of trust shown was truly humbling and I appreciate it more than can be said.

Even better turning it from a possible defence into a successful RR on Alb lol

Eclipse reported 10fg Mids at mmg, then 15fg.

Then Crim guards gave enemy numbers of 133.

All Hib keeps were then upgraded to level 10, and Hibs started arriving at Dagda.

Then suddenly reports over /gu from the HDS group at GS said that all the mids were in Summonners Hall and moving towards HoC exit.

So....

We decided to gate-crash

Nicely done Hibs, great speed with the ram collection, and thanks for taking down the outer door Mids

but still prolly lacking 50´s cmparing other 2 realms.


yep, nice so many mids show up, hate when need go some "hib´s base belongs to us! fun and suddenly notice need go bed because working day.

hope all had fun, and whats important, relic change hand away from albs

/who 50 = 70-120 at our very best.

say how much is on server when compare, not only how much hibs.
example prydwen can be 400 online and if 2-300 is hibs?

when i last week compare numbers 1500 in prydwen and under 400 mids (~370).
if you still have lower number what mids? 50% server pop is albs, explain indeed how they can zerg thidraki, emain, odin, hadrian, caledonia.

Afaik...albs had ppl at excal 20 - 30 mins before we were even to attack, I know I saw them on the walls at excalibur. Tbh I dont buy the bullshit that albs spotted us at hibs version of DG, its just not possible. Even if they did how do they take the conclusion that we are going to rr the albs? I can understand if the hibs had seen us enter hibs DG, but then how do albs find out?...My opinion again.

My own opinion is that there are abit to many active albs playing on mid too, but thats just me.

At the same time i heard over irc, wich i had up for my own reasons, that albs already knew and were looking for ppl for relic defence.

When we heard that shitloads of mids went through mmg we went to check up on the hibbys relics,when no mids there it's not very hard to figure out where they were going....

i don't buy the bullshit that hibs gathered a RR force when they saw all those mids in emain. Really, sometimes there are over 100 albs in emain, on a normal day,... no relic raid, no df take, ...just 100 albs or more zerging around
Imo, one (or more) middies told there friends in hibernia about the RR ... but thats just my opinion

And about albs who found out, ask deadly shadows (rambo's guild) afaik they were the ones who told the others that the mid zerg had entered marfach caverns. I'm not saying they actually spotted them. It's possible there are some crossrealmers BUT NOT ONLY IN ALBION.
Don't act like midgard (or hibernia) is totally "spy free". Every realm has them for sure.

But anyway... very nice tactics, mids. congrats !!
I don't think albs are capable doing the same thing ( I'm talking about the splitting force).

I can vouch for this fact. We had reports/dms which pointed to PE being in the gorge/mount collory. Then after they were spotted near nged we got reports of them suiciding.

It was a marvelous plan.
It was a great response from so many mids.
Considering the bad luck we did great.
UNlucky relic carrier got killed and relic sosed off ( sigh at sos ).
Unlucky hibs had to leech off our effort ( but we would prolly do the same ).
And the usual spies, irc blabber and things that ruin a superb PRIMETIME organisation. Imo no realm has come close to what Midgard did yesterday.

Well since 1fg can kill the grand summoner and it wouldnt make sence for mids to enter marfach just to exit to DG i would say that guessing what you were up too was fairky easy... Just my opinion

I'm quite puzzled as to which irc channels it was supposedly spammed on. I am on numerous public/private channels and didn't find any info regarding the RR.

From the time you had passed through summoners hall (which made it clear to us you were going for albs) to the time you started pulling guards I had managed to gather and organise a relicraid and move it to snowdonia.

My point is that they were almost certainly spotted in emain by albs as why else would PE be running through collory. They probably came to the conclusion at the same time as we did that they were going for the albs and not the hibs. So if we can manage to get a relicraid going from the time they start moving through summoners hall to the time they start pulling guards albs surely must be able to muster a decently sized defense force in the meantime.
