Nah, thats just background noise. Doesn't pay to filter it out completely though - you need some kind of auto-responder that says "hmmmm?", or "yes?" or "fine" if there is a silence in excess of 6 seconds.

if you make a 3rd english server, pitch the idea of mixed rvr teams being enabled, <mids/hibs/albs in 1 group> but you can only rvr in the specified zones still, and people who are not in their home zone (e.g. an alb in druim ligen) can not go out of DL into the xp zone.

you will get a pay rise and a larger office (and your lunch break will increase to 10mins) GUARANTEED.

events *usually* take place on a thursday evening and every 2 weeks (the next one being planned for next thursday on mid). If the background of the event allows it, we'll post some information beforehand, usually thursday afternoon. Sometimes though, there will be no news posted for example when the redcaps attacked Bjarken. As it was a surprise attack we couldn't really go advertising it beforehand. Those annoying npcs that spam you while you wait to port to go rvr also have up-to-date information on events (well they will do soon anyway).

would u b allowed 2 make ur won class or give a GM char u play special abilitys that no 1 else hs (like if u play a SB (or any of the other realm assassins) aoe PA just 2 c what could happen?

E&E = 'eyes and ears' = volunteers, can help with problems (but no special powers) and get in touch with GMs if required. Sometimes play NPCs at events. Volunteers also help with testing new patches on the test servers. Anyone can apply to be a volunteer/E&E.

Just a quick note about applications to the E&E team.
We aren't actively recruiting new E&Es at the moment so anyone who applies will get a form response saying we've taken your details down for future reference. As and when we are looking for new E&Es I'll review the applications we've already recieved and contact those who are suitable to see if they are still interested in the position.
Don't be put off, it's not like the usual job application letter where when they say 'We have kept your details on file' they actually mean 'your CV is lining my cat's litter box'. I really am keeping records of everyone who applies and I will use those records when recruiting new E&Es in the future.

Or even better: xp everywhere in all 3 realms, rvr everywhere in border zones. Only DF night be diffcult to decide what it is but this kind of play would be very nice tbh...

i got a nice question along lines of another realm event.. only in hib though coz its set up nice..

all the stuff about shars joining in.. and elves (and therefore lurikeens coz they from same side of veil) not trusting them..

would make for a nice internal fight to prove who is better.. and sylvans not knowing what side to join.. might be fun could it happen?

oh and those big purple sphinxes than run around randomly.. they being used for checks by you guys or just normal mobs?

Oh I am so not going there....
There are some classes which I think are too powerful in 8v8, however things come around and the characters earning zillions of RPs a night this month will be selling the Big Issue in Hesperos Haven next time around.
I also don't believe the game is or should be balanced for 8v8. I think that different realms should have different strengths and weaknesses in different areas. Midgard can put out solid groups for 8v8. Alb has trouble with this due to the lack of general utility but has an advantage in 2-3 person stealth groups. Hibs excel at static RvR (keeptakes/defenses etc). These are generalisations but they are broadly true. Whether it's a deliberate design by Mythic I couldn't say.

Or in other words; I tend to play DAoC for 3 months, pause 1 or 2 months, then play it for 1 month and either take a pause of 2 months or a subscription of 3 months. A bit irregular, but I'd love to help GoA and Albion by becomming an E&E, because I do think that Albion could do with more E&E's.

To be honest, not really.
We do have E&Es who have taken breaks for a while but in general we ask that they play regularly and are available more oftenthan they aren't.
