they did in daoc. think about for a while. i guess they do in eve as well with security zones etc. besides, in daoc you lose "nothing" when you die.

and the "not worth your time" argument is pointless, there will always be people PKing newbs just to piss them off.

i meant the pvp version and you did loose conc so lost money. People left camlann, because off no real protection (you loose money and time as you have to release and get back to your exp ground).

landshark nothing thats why you need to be in a corp and need people to protect you. Besides there are people that will hunt player killers for a living, because they think its more fun than killing players and rewards are the same (not sure if the game puts bounty on high pk'ers if they do it even increases the reward).

I'm just wondering what the hell is the reason NOT to have a battleship? I mean, the cash won't be hard to amass for a corp and after that.... who's going to fly around in a frigate where 2 missles leaves you a frozen corpse?

havent played the game, but general tactics in naval combat. Frigates are smaller and more agile, besides battleship will most likely be more off a big thing destructer than going after frigates. A well balanced corp fleet will need battleships, but if it only got battleship it is vulnerable vs the more agile and faster frigates. However this is only talking from general tactics and not from experience in eve. So I have no id if they have implemented it this way.

Well I was mining in a 0.5 system in an imicus with all the shield and armour upgrades I could cram onto it, with a friend of mine in a tristan escorting me.... after about 20th trip back to the station, there was some guy in a Vexor there, blew both of us out of the sky in about 5 seconds flat. I'm just wondering what the hell the point is in being in a frigate instead of a cruiser, when you get two-shotted? I got hit for 149 and 137....
What's going to stop it from ending up that if you don't have a battleship you're going to be ganked the first time you set foot in a roid belt that bears more than scordite? >_<

Frigates are used for fast attacks or support.
Groups of Frigates have the potentiol to be alot more deadly then a group of battleships, 3 well equiped frigates can take a battleship np, Jam his locking system, all 3 of u unload your EMP weapons, once the shield is down jam his warp so he cant run, snear his ass too if you must then unload with good armor rounds, then u got one dead battleship.
Of course its easyer said then done thou
omber can be found in Urlen and Maurasi, all safe zones.
