If corps really can build space stations, that'd be impressive, as well as providing a target. But what then stops HyperMegaUltraCorp from going and demolishing UltraSuperMaxicorp's station at 3am? Seems like something of a flawed system. And if losing a station isn't a problem, then surely attacking one isn't worth it. I mean, even if relics did nothing for you it'd still be worth taking them away from the enemy realms. If relics did nothing at all who the heck would bother RRing?
I dunno, I'd truly love to find out that there was plenty of reason to do organised PvP (organised, as opposed to pirating or bountyhunting) in EVE, but atm I am ignorant of it.
edit: oh, as to 'best asteroids', hmm.... Unless the ultra rare types are really, really insanely incredibly rare and are, for example, the only source of a truly rare material used in building really high-end systems/ships... then I can't see that working. The medium-rare roids are pretty damn easy to find, slightly tougher if you can't handle the crappy low-'level' pirates, but still...
