I am Liverpool fan and have been since the first game of footie i watched when i first arrived in London.
I have never ever been to Liverpool in my life and whats even worse, for some people, i only ever been to a football staduim once. Old Trafford to watch Manu vs Everton on a school trip arranged by one of our teachers - was a thing he used to do every year for the fifth formers.
Does this mean i shouldnt be a die hard Liverpool fan or that i am any less a supporter then some guy who happens to have been born or brought up next to or near the staduim?
If you live in England in this day and age with cheap travel there isn't really any excuse for having never seen a single match. The only thing that would let you off would be age, so if you ain't over 21 and working I could understand why you have not been able to attend. Still, surely Liverpool play away games somewhere near where you live? What is stopping you from getting a club membership and paying £30 for a ticket to an away game? If you can't afford it fair enough, I am not one to make judgements or pass comments on peoples financial situations. As much as I love football I do understand it cannot be a priority for people in education or with kids and mortgage to pay.
Cho come on msn you cock knocker i need closure![]()

How about i dont want to sit in a staduim with a bunch of mindless hooligans and would rather sit at home build me spliff and watch it from the comfort of me own home?
I am less of fan because of this??????

Isn't it funny how what I said: 'either side deserved to win - united dominated first half - chelsea after that' etc. is agreed by a lot of people?
You just can't take losing buddy (very few of us can!) - it'll come with age![]()
Yes
99% of the fans are not hooligans. Its all hyped through TV and the media. Goto the game and see for yourself. If you want trouble I am sure your dealer will show you it
Hahaha i have seen some pretty fucking graphic shit on TV over the years with regards to hooligans.
Maybe you werent old enough to remember what it was like in the 70's and 80's with footie hooliganism but i do and as a result of this i will never watched or will ever watch it at a staduim.
You only watch the fights,
you'll be surprised how many people go to a football game NOT looking to fight.
I think you'll find its about 96%![]()

I lived very close to Baker Street Tube Station and i have been accosted, abused, shouted at, spat at, had booze thrown on me over a long period of years at the Globe pub next to the tube over a long period of years. So much so that i stopped visiting my mates who live there on match days.
Explain to me again about the other 96% please, as it really makes a difference.
Everone missing that terry spit on tevez!?![]()
Well, i've never seen or been in any fights at a football game.
Nowadays there is so much police presence that it is organised elsewhere.
I do remeber the hoolies form then mate aye. But football is totally differnt now.
I have a mate who lives near you and he doenst have them issues?
I listened to 606 after the match last night and 1 person out of the 20 or so who were Man Yoo fans was actually from Machester! 1!!
Everyone missing that Terry spit on Tevez!?![]()
Surely it has but it doesnt mean that i would like to go and watch these games live anymore or less. More comfort in me house and i dont run the risk of the above shit happening
I think the technical term is a "snot rocket".![]()
Nevermind, Terry will be wiping his snotty nose for a while year until his tears dry up.![]()
.... there are always a few drunken wankers with big mouths. That is the ugly side of football.....
I have watched one game at Old Trafford and the atmosphere was amazing and some of the chanting i will never forget, well one chant in particular has stayed with me for years.
The problem is not in the stadium but rather what can happen to you on the way to or from the match, as most of the people watching the game feel the need to get totally drunk and the abuse just follows.
But all good, as i said earlier i dont feel inclined to watch the game in a stadium just so i can be told that i am a "real fan" Besides which its a bit far from Qatar to Liverpool so i guess i will have to stay a unreal fan till i am next in the UK
*EdiT* Chelsea players are a bunch of moaners who cant seem to handle decisions going against them. Not saying that all Manu players are innocent but rather not as OTT as some of the Cheslea crowd. Just wish ref's would dish out a few red cards right at the beginning of the season and that would see the end of all the diving and moaning and play acting.
