Haas was fouling players left, right and centre. The red card was harsh but the amount of mistimed tackles he was making it was inveitable. Huugel should have at least been booked for that horrible tackle on Hargreaves, how exactly he got back up after his ankle was bent at that angle I don't know. I wonder if he does yoga.

Anyway, it's not the performance that matters - it's the result. And I predicted a 3-0 win with Rooney scoring twice and Gerrard grabbing one too, I wish I had put a bet on :/

and you were nowhere near the full potential of your squad (bearing in mind you have 'superstars' such as gerrard rooney beckham owen etc.) sitting back and letting france carry out 90% of the total game attacks

the italians were more attack minded and theyre the ones famous for sitting back

We're screwed if we play like that against Croatia. They looked like a very strong team last night.

90% they certainly did not have. In fact they only threatened to score twice, once from a free-kick and once from a penalty.

I don't see much cause for concern should England play France again.

I keep hearing this about France dominating us in the second half. Yes, they dominated posession-wise, but the fact is that they never looked like scoring and without goals, posession means nothing. I don't fear the French, never really have, if England had to play them again in the final I'd say bring it on. Maybe this time Sven wouldn't manage the team like an Italian (especially after the Italy - Sweden game ) and we'd win it like we should have before.

Yeah, he was excellent for Monaco during the Champions league and it looks like his form has carried over into the Euro. By far Croatias best player.

Don't quite see the Rooney bashing thing to be honest. He's an excellent player and anyone who can't see that must be watching somebody different. Can't see him staying at Everton after the way he's played in the tournament so far.

Just wish that Owen would start playing. Wonder if his hamstrings have just taken too much of a beating?
