Labour dropped like 20 leaflets in one go at my house.

I considered voting Tory.

Then decided that was a tad dramatic.

There still is every chance of a Corbyn getting in power...part of a Frankestein horror show of idiots.

Having moved to Devon half way through the year I'm getting the redirected ones from my old address and then some more in the new address.

Kuenssberg is a fully complicit part of the Tory spin machine.

Broadcasters aren't allowed to give any indication about how a postal vote is looking before the polls close. They're not even supposed to know - the parties aren't supposed to count them until after the polls close. Her "it's looking grim for Labour" comment the day before the election could influence how people vote tomorrow - it's her trying to help her Tory pals out. She's covered too many elections to not know the rules.

media in this country is a total joke now. so hell-bent on protecting their tax havens they'll pull shit like this whenever someone steps up to lead that doesn't have their interests in mind. It should be illegal.

And to clarify - yes, i'm saying fuck their legally protected jobs, the very legal positions they keep exploiting for shit like this.

Just watched C4 dispatches on “growing up poor” - Don’t any of you feel ashamed of what the country has become ?

I do. I grew up poor so I know exactly what the lower end of society is going through, as for people feeling ashamed? do they fuck because they've never had to live it.

The school I'm working at has a particularly poor catchment area; it's just opened it's own food bank and shock horror, there's big problems with county lines there.

Nope but we could always do better, but we certainly aren't alone.

I watched Disneys 3D scrooge.

I just had to point out the 'poor' little family had a nice warm house, clean well made clothes and a complete Turkey with all the trimmings on the table.

They used high society as evidence of their poverty.
Thats just envy..

Here's to hoping they don't get a majority at least. Just going to sit back for the next 5 years now and watch all of the silly fuckers that thought the tories would fix everything find something else to blame when they realise they've been lied to.

You seem to think that people here havent been in that situation. We were a one income house on a policeman's wage. Two kids and 15% plus interest rates.

This isnt new. The world isnt fair.

you can plan to have families and its 90 + % effective. But still poverty stricken house holds have lots of kids.

its education and realisation that the state wont support your hobby that makes people take responsibility.

Not everyone can be a ceo, not everyone can earn in the top 10%. Otherwise it wouldnt be the top 10%.

People need to be responsible for their actions. Make sure they can afford their plans. Rather than fuck it. I feel like having ten kids. Someone will pay for them.

its not the kids fault. But if you dont make it hard for the parents its a vicious circle that reinforces itself and as has been proven over the last 2 decades. If it pays more to be on benefits than working people stay on benefits.

Ask yourself why people in poor situations have been confident enough to have kids without being able to afford to feed them.

because the benefit system up until recently has rewarded familys with 10 kids and no income.

you need to live in the real world. Not some world where you have never been out of education sector.

middle class families all over make decisions of affordability on their family choices. But this doesnt seem to apply to the poor. If they got minimum wage jobs and had fewer kids they would be better off.

like before its not the kids fault. And i wish every kid would have the same opportunity. But because of their parents selfishness they are in the position they are.

Bollocks to this sentiment. When we we ran an agrarian society we could feed and house our children.

If capitalism doesn't provide enough good work so people are comfortable - not living on the breadline, but comfortable, then it's not a system worth maintaining in its current form.

Edit: As to this:
Not everyone can be a ceo, not everyone can earn in the top 10%. Otherwise it wouldnt be the top 10%.
CEOs shouldn't be getting paid orders of magnitude more than their staff.

Upper and lower limits to wealth accumulation are needed.

Seriously if you “had it” so bad why would you think it is ok for other people and their kids to?

this is just all wrong.....children in the UK (as Job says the biggest and best economy in Europe) are starving and self harming and the reaction is - I had it poor when I was growing up and then blame the parents.

I just feel sickened and disappointment and ashamed
