We used to have a strong Tory majority enclave of Crosby, but they dissolved it and with it any Tory chance whatsoever.

As previously mentioned my Nan had a fall and broke her hip and her wrist. She lived in the same council house all her married life, now we're looking at care homes for her....

Turns out she's got a decent 6 figure sum in her bank account, when she worked as a seamstress and my grandad did other stuff in the textiles industry.

And we've never had it so good? Ha.

So if you have money you shouldnt have to contribute toward your care if you need it?
The state should be there to look after people who cannot afford it. Doesnt mean if you need sheltered accommodation or nursing care and you have a 6 figure bank account you should get it for free.

The wifes friends mother in law, ex headmistress, gets dementia, ends up in a £2000 a week nursing home by us...it looks like the Xmen mansion.
Her savings are going and they are eyeing up her 400K house.
Her daughter is classic NHS nurse ultra militant anti tory ,Corbyn lover.
Applies for help and manages to get 1100 a fucking week towards the fucking bill because she has dementia.
She was in a five fucking star nursing home.
She died after a few months thankfully because her mind had totally gone...the irony of the situation was lost on the wifes friend.
Torys not supporting care eh?
1100 a week and the family now inherit a 400K house.

And I will add much to your facepalms that the list of conditions that are financially supported will be the number one on relatives lips.

We have a tax system, if there’s a belief the “rich” don’t pay enough to the NHS take the caps off NI. The fundamental principle of the NHS is that it’s free at the point of use for everyone, the minute you start to means test aspects of it is the minute you give the Tories the crowbar to wreck it.
