Had weather today that I've never seen before in my puff. Torrential rain (and I don't mean heavy, I mean an absolute torrent) and violent thunderstorms for over an hour.

BBC News - Homes and cars flooded in Edinburgh downpour

My colleagues all ran to the window in the office to stare at cars in the street getting submerged with water. One of them was mine :(. The door seal didn't hold up and the inside of the car had an inch or two of water in it.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuu uuu uu :(

Really sorry to see that.

Brother in law is an insurance assessor in Cornwall.

He did a lot of business around the Boscastle floods.

He wrote a lot of cars off. Water damage these days can be mental expensive. Explosive seat belt tensioners at a few hundred a go. Fly by wire throttle pedals at another few hundred. Carpet sets are stupid money, heated seats etc etc. The figures stack up really fast.

we had one in denmark last week in Copenhagen, while Roskilde festival got hit with like 15 mm rain Cph got like 150 mm in abit under 2 hours, insane damages since we never experience that. Insurance is gonna have a pain with stuff like that

I had a conference call with my colleagues in London today; it was sunny for me at the time, it was pissing down in central London for them, I laughed and said "ahhah, Scotland's not so bad then!".

Karma took the piss out of me :(.

The irony is that the sun was splitting 20 miles away in East Lothian. :(

Haven't heard from my brothers family in Fife, probably been washed away into the north sea. :D

Thunder and torrential rain again tonight - had to come in to work for a night shift. Even better, I've done something to my neck and it hurts like buggery when I move it.

Good times

was watching it from our home, we could see these huge dark clouds slowly heading towards us, and in the distance we could hear thunder. 1hour later... boom, Luckily, we live on a slant, but the neighbour had a lake in his garden ;p
