There is a way to remove your bid, although for the life of me I can't remember where it is. E-mail ebay and they will tell you.

My mate says so too, can't find an option though.

I'll give it a few days because they don't end for about 5 days, hopefully someone might outbid me.

Be careful, people can see how many times you have withdrawn bids, so only use the option as a last resort

Oh yeah. Postage LOL, this cracks me up. All these people are selling their 360's and making up postal charges.

The 360 box is too big too send special delivery, and over the wieght limit. You have to send it standard parcels (which is only insured up to £500) or Parcelforce (which costs a fair bit for insurance if your not an account holder). I have even seen someone offer recorded delivery for £30. REcorded delivery on a 3kg huuge box? Please. Muppets.

WRONG. Just looked into it more :)

They are 6kg

So my muppet guess was about right for Special Delivery.

Well it is against eBay rules, but it saves money on fees if you profit from postage instead of the item. I charge more than the actual postage by about 25% to allow for the cost of the packaging, my time packing, and the trip to the post office.

Yeah thats fine Yuck. What I am referring to is people quoting delivery methods that are not valid, and inflating the costs hugely. That is just ignorance in most cases, and the buyers are stupid to accept it.

Are they not stupid for paying silly amonts (as in more than retail price) for the console too?

True, but there are a lot of thickos selling, I cringe at the spelling and grammar on some of the ads by businesses. I guess they just think of a number and pick any old method because they can't be arsed. I always check on the Royal Mail webby calculator for my own benefit as much as anything else.

It's a case of being wise to the postage costs. It annoys me that some do use it to bump up the overall cost of their item but as long as you're aware and take it into account on the final selling price you can still net yourself a bargain.

I got an MP3 player online recently and the P+P was something like 30 quid for an object no more than 10cm long but in the end it was still loads cheaper than any equivalent I can get in the shops here or online.

guys - just submitted a dispute over undelivered goods.

Bought something from a buyer, sent the cheque on 11th November - notified him that I was sending it.

Contacted him 2 weeks ago , contacted him again on Tuesday of last week, telling him that if I had no response that I would report to ebay as undelivered.

Anyone else had to file a dispute and, if so, were they pretty good at resolving?

You got a good deal in the carpark sockstuff, I left mine too late after deciding I would sell it rather than let my cousin have it. £540 for it.
