Dream Job???

Ok sitting in my boring job I started day dreaming about what I would want to do if I could have any job in the world so my question is..

If you could wake up tomorrow morning with any job in the world and the necessary skills to be pretty good at it what would you want to be?

I'll start of by throwing in my rather strange one of being a...

Professional Assassin.

I think watching the Anime Crying Freeman many, many years ago influenced me on this one, plus films like Leon, it just seemed like such a cool job, it's true cartoons, films and games really can influence you as a child

I'd just like to point out when I had my psyche evaluation I only ever saw butterflys and flowers on the cards, I've never killed anyone and will never really become a paid assassin...probably

Dream job? I dunno, it's a tough call. It'd be kind of fun and cool to organise big events (i.e. raves, festivals etc) - enormously satisfying too. But then on the other hand there's the option of being Marijuana connoisseur... ;D

Of course you would: so why put it as your dream job? A dream job is a job without any negatives, is ideal for you and your mindset and above all would make you HAPPY. You would want to go to work and work all day everyday with your dream job.

But you can be a sadist if you want to be.

Other than that? I've never really wanted to work - perhaps have a fishing boat in the Caribbean and take rich businessmen out marlin or shark-fishing, or be a (very well paid) marine biologist - as long as it involves sharks.


TBH - all I'd really want to do is jetski/snowboard/kayak/travel/shag all day, every day, for the rest of my life.

dream job, hmm i dont suppose britneys bra actually counts as a job does it? hmm thought not! cant say i'd fancy being an assasin cos i'd probably get distracted by a dog with a puffy tail or summat. i'd probably go for running my own games store, i've always wanted to be my own boss and why not combine it with something i love.

but then tbh i love my job as a pharmacy assistant anyway, and i dont have time to daydream about a better one while i'm there!

For a dream job, I'd go for trauma surgeon, or A&E doctor. Once I've got my current mid-life crisis out of the way, I'm going to try for the next best thing, which is a paramedic.

One of my mates dad's is an ambulance driver/paramedic, and the things he's seen are utterly, utterly horrible and vile. Really harsh, hard attitude-changing stuff. You're gonna have to be really distanced from reality, it's likely to affect you for the whole of your life. It's a great thing to do if you can stomach it, there's not anywhere near enough of them. I've got another mate who's dad is in the london transport police... both of them on many occasions have had to deal with HORRIFIC incidents on trains and roads... the latter of the two mentioned once saw half a feotus (yes, half a foetus) being carried away by a crow for munchies.

I think I'd be able to do that sort of job, which is why I'm considering it. I was talking to an paramedic about it, asking how you would apply for that sort of thing.

He said that you write to the local office, and they send you out for a day with an ambulance. Most people don't make it beyond the first callout. If you are still there at the end of the shift, and you seem like you are on the ball, they give you an interview.

Probably due to the influence of games or whatever, but I'd love to be a Hitman, secret agent, mercenary/assasin type figure or some kind of Military Strategist / Commander. I just like the idea of being a James Bond type figure. It must be so exciting.

Failing that I'd love to be a part of a black metal band. Songwriter, or vocalist. I wish I could play Guitar really well.
