Topic of the day is as follows:

Why is life so damn hard? Discuss.

In SWG I could dance all day and night to earn money.

In DAoC I can make clothes and my merchant sells them for me. The rest of the time I can sit around and chat or I can go swimming or kill things.

In FFXI I can collect seeds, plant them, and sell the harvested items in an auction house. I can travel from town to town on a big yellow bird, ride an airship, or take up fishing on boats.

I guess the latter is similar to using Ebay irl but much more funs and you don't have to work aswell as play.

In conclusion I have realised I am much more successful in the make believe world than I am in real life. Why can't real life be this simple?

Real life sucks cos you cant do what you actually want to, its a bit like playing GTA 3, at first it seems like you have complete freedom to roam the city and do as you please, but then you realise just like real life you HAVE to follow a linear script to actually achieve anything (other than sniper headshotting columbians which still entertains me today!) and unfortunately when you take risks in game theres isnt any consequences, well nothing a few gold coins wont solve....and why do they ask for a DONATION when u dont get a choice ffs!!!?!? nerf Capitalist healers!!11

Mainly a money thing for me I guess, just feeling down in the dumps. Got back after lunch and no milk in the fridge so I had to have machine coffee, need to fill my car with petrol, have to pay some bills on internet banking tonight, paid a speeding fine yesterday. Bleh.

When the voices become too loud I am forced to look at my life and weigh it up against that of my online alter-egos. It used to make me really depressed. I quite often came close to slitting my wrists when I realised that I had 2000x more fake money than real money.

...then I came up with a solution!

Sissyfoo now only has 54g, no shoes or gloves and is a full-earth wizard! My life fucking rocks compared to his!

Apart from the big yellow bird all of these are viable paths in life. Beats my life which revolves around unbelievable amounts of pressure, stress and overly long hours for pityful amounts of pay.
