Again, they aren't facts, they are theories, they are only facts when they are proven beyond doubt by todays methods. As knowledge and understanding improves, yesterdays "facts" can be blown out of the water.
Its been scientifically proven that the universe expanded from a single point and that most of the physical phenomena in the material universe can be mathematically explained & derived from the work of Einstein & others. Its also been demonstrated that at the sub-atomic level, quantum theory exists (I posted a video not so long ago on this site demonstrated how a single photon can be in 2 places at the same time conclusively proving quantum theory). So we know why stuff happens, we can explain it, we can prove it both experimentally and mathematically. What we can't prove is what happened right at the beginning. The only way we'd be able to get close would be to understand how singularities work (we need a Quantum Theory of Gravity to even start understanding that - doesn't exist yet), and even then we may never ever know what triggered the big bang.
