Sent a mail to blizzard, to make sure that it is not a glitch. Not like I had a lot of money tho(Most spent on crafting and upgrading equipment) it was about 40-50k! But I guess you cannot be to careful any longer.Chosen that sounds like bad aids
People complaining about Keitanz (I understand - if he's not even got the game why is he so vociferous about complaining here) should admit he's got a point. The ones of you say "there's no problem" are ignoring the problems that people on this very forum have.
D3 is hackable. Accounts are being stolen and fucked about with. Blizzard have fucked up royally and it's THEIR fault. Period.
If Barclays online banking was getting hacked left right and centre you can't imagine most people blaming anyone other than Barclays. Just because D3 is a game doesn't mean Bliz shouldn't have good security.
Snatch? No, it's because it's Blizzard you utter berk.
That said forced online is pissing me off, I've spent all day plotting my revenge on The Butcher.. even got the missus asking whether I was going to 'Butcher The Butcher' tonight. Could mean something else though?
Calm down you sound like KeitanzBlizzard can just go fuck themselves. Stupid morons, without that fucking online part I would a: Not be scammed and b: Not get that fucking stupid error on hardcore which disconnected me and killed of my character.
The difference is that I own the game and play it daily. Stupid glitches like that should NOT appear in a game that have been planned for so long, and there should've been a off-line part in the game and nothing of this would've happened. All in all it comes down to Blizzard "trying" to avoid that any pirated versions gets out.Calm down you sound like Keitanz
Diablo III is very much an online game, most of the game logic is hosted by Blizzard. You should not have purchased the game if you wanted to be able to play completely offline from the "net". Expect this to be the norm moving forward. The difference is that I own the game and play it daily. I have been very calm when it comes to this game, but when things like this ruin what would've been a good game experience for me. It pisses me off

I am sorry but did you read the specs of the game before you bought it?First off I never imagined that the game would be locked to online mode, as I thought it would be to a similar system of Diablo II. I can sort of understand that some game developers choose to add online verifications to some game, as it helps out a little with getting rid of pirates. But I do not really see the reason to force everyone to play a single-player game on-ine at all times(I am not talking about if you wanted to co-op or not, as you obviously would have to log in then).
As I said, a lot of the games today requires Internet to be able to login, so I didn't put much thought into it. It's not like I am totally against being online, but when they can't even keep their servers stable making countless of people loosing their HC character because of Blizzards own fault it bugs me. And a off-line mode could've been a option for players who do not have interest in playing with others anyway.I am sorry but did you read the specs of the game before you bought it?
I have seen no actual proof that the game itself, or the servers are being hacked.
Well the chinese wouldn't bother emulation D3, seeing that they are already playing Diablo V XDIt looks like it's going to take a few months/years at least to have a playable pirated version of D3... WoW took years to be fully emulated ..
