Pretty much all of Albion is based on actual places in England. :p

Manchester is kinda in the Pennines so it's clearly the best place. ;)
It also has a major airport, unlike 90% of the other places suggested. :p
i saw Hadrian's Archway in Athens, so lets go to athens! (wubable city!)

Cambridge is good close to stansted airport, Train from airport to cambridge is dirt cheap 5min walk from train station you have a huge travelodge split cost between 2 people prob be no more than £30 for the night.
Think last time i stayed there was £52 for a double room. Plenty of pubs and loads of students if you plan on sharing a bed that night. Punting is a good laugh, also lazerquest in town so i'm sure we could find plenty to do.

Well i guess we should think in a different way...

The country that is closest to all ppl is france.

1- plain tickets should be almost same price to everyone

2- all cultures (albionish, midish, celtish) are a little represented

3- we can spank some GOA ppl for server down :twak: :worthy:

4- famous places to visit and most of all french chicks and reasonable beer

There are a few options for sure that are worth thinking about.

Denmark is very good except from the UK flights can be tricky - British Airways are really pricey. However you can use http://www.easyjet.com/ but then your stuck because you have to fly from London in which case those from the North of England are going to have a very expensive trip.

So Denmark is not actually that easy for a lot of people (depending on how many are from the North of course).

If you are looking for a budget trip then you have to look at the hubs of each of the budget airlines and then work out where they all have a common destination to. In the UK and Ireland the cheap airlines are Ryanair and Easyjet. What are the budget airlines elsewhere? Could some people list them for Scandanavia(In particular Sweden/Denmark)?

From a UK and Ireland perspective the cheapest and easiest places to fly to and from are either Manchester, London, Dublin and probably Glasgow (bloody cold in Autumn).

London - is expensive there is no doubt about that but have you tried the backpacker places to stay? Some of those are pretty good and not so busy in the Autumn - try http://www.st-christophers.co.uk/. The one at London Bridge is very accessible, has a great pub and I am certain I could contact a few pubs that we used to meet in during my roleplaying days.

Dublin is expensive - I know very little about it other than the great pubs around Trinity College.... I would say these days Dublin is almost more expensive than London.

Manchester - well it is not a lot cheaper than London but it is close to some very inexpensive places to stay - Sheffield for example (full of students two very large Universities) is 1 1/2 hours by train directly from Manchester Airport and is full of great pubs/clubs and inexpensive places to eat. The Irish people can fly to Doncaster from Dublin for £40 return. Doncaster is 40mins away by a short bus and then train ride. It is in the middle of some of the nicest countryside in England.

I would however love to go to Denmark if I could keep the costs of the flight down and if I had enough notice.

Alternatively Ireland is always a very special place to go to and their hospitality is second to none.

Finally - almost every Airport has flights to Amsterdam - so the Netherlands is definitely an option - once more I know very little about there.

Think carefully about the Airport hubs and the economy flights and you will see there are only really a few obvious options.

Nice on Kinetix, but…..

We play on an English server and I really don’t think many of us speak France. Jezz… English I hard enough for me!

I assume that not many France ppl will join the “party” as most of them don’t play on Prydwen, so why not place the meeting somewhere where at least some of us live? Example… if the meeting is held in Denmark me and Toby can provide shelter for some to save hotels. Im sure other will do the same visa versa (?).

If this is gonna happen, I think it has to be in somewhere like belgium or holland, or at least close to the chunnel/ferry ports. I estimate 50% of the pryd populous live outside the uk , and its only fair this time its on the continent.

I live in northern uk, and would travel !

Anyways... here's a link if u want the prices from denmark to X.

You can get a trip'n'back ticket from Denmark to london for ~£100

If you don't place it on a friday-friday, and place it i.e. thursday-thursday, you can get it for ~£80.

edit: for danes: Use a boat, you can get to england by boat from Jutland for ~£25 as the cheapest I've seen. It takes a bit longer though ;)

Us danes can't understand a word of what geordies say mate... mid-england works, and even Holland or sweden or denmark or whereever, but I'd have better chance of translating the bible into chineese then to order a beer in newcastle.
