Whitty doesn't want to take it any further.Unfortunately, being a fat mouthed cunt is not an offence. But assault is, and grabbing a fella is basically assault. It's not going to be a prison sentence, but they should expect a caution.
I mean they can be prosecuted even if he doesn’t. They filmed their own evidence.Whitty doesn't want to take it any further.
Relevant: Viz re-posted one of its Top Tips today which read:
"Save time wondering why Lee Hurst is trending by simply assuming it is because he is being a massive cunt."
Seems to have vanished though :/
Proper funny thanksLee Hurst’s been suspended by Twitter so enjoy these 5 times he was owned into next week
Spare a thought – only kidding – for right wing former TV comedian Lee Hurst who has been kicked off Twitter. Hurst’s account was suspended soon after a particularly grim tweet in which he said the alleged harassment of England’s chief medical officer Chris Whitty in that awful video was ‘not...www.thepoke.co.uk
I saw a tweet of his, something like "oh the bed wetters never go outside". The irony is incredible. His whole thing is sitting on twitter all day getting upset about things. He is a massive prick though, shit at comedy so is now chasing some nutters, he might join a GB news political panel show or something off of this.
It's a bit shit really. He's already lost his job. Getting a criminal record to boot is very harsh and will dog him for the rest of his life (as will the news stories).Man charged with assault on Chris Whitty

Is this a bit over the top? It was a bit unpleasant but just a couple of drunken idiots who wanted a picture. They weren't being abusive or anything. I think his reaction is what makes it look so bad, but you can obviously understand why he is on edge. The bloke has even lost his job over it.Man charged with assault on Chris Whitty

I wonder if I got harassed by someone like he did then they would lose their job and face criminal charges hmmm
You aren’t a public figure who has had threats sent at them. but its true it should be even across the board. The losing his job is because of them recording it and putting it online and not because the legal consequences.I wonder if I got harassed by someone like he did then they would lose their job and face criminal charges hmmm
You don't necessarily have to press charges for them to charge someone, the CPS can decide, but really they should take the victim's wishes into consideration. I think Whitty has more important things to deal with than this shit.
Yes which is what i explained to @Scouse when he said whitty didnt want to.You don't necessarily have to press charges for them to charge someone, the CPS can decide, but really they should take the victim's wishes into consideration. So we should tolerate dickheads instead? No ta.So he has lost his job and got a criminal record, not to mention paraded through the press.
Over being a dickhead. Seems very harsh.
