Yes but this is where it gets interesting, besides as @Raven says saving face which if you read their tweets is quite funny, they will hand them off to COVAX. Initially this will prove quite positive in terms of optics, however someone is going to say that they weren't good enough for you so why should we use them.

Today both my sister and I got our ONS antibodies blood test results back, mine is positive for antibodies whereas hers is negative. We've both had 2 vaccinations but her second was only done a week before the test so guess it might be a reason for the negative.

I really do not think anyone cares - at least here where I am the fuss over vaccination was very short lived. As I said at least in the Nordics AZ will not be required even here in Sweden they are phasing it out for the over 65s (they only age group it was used for).

The bigger concern in Sweden is the 20% who do not want to be vaccinated as per end of May... this number has reduced from end of December which was 35% so hopefully it will continue to reduce along with those who are still on the fence (c.9%).

I was surprised to see how quickly the gap was closing for the group : not vaccinated but willing, with countries whose vaccination programs have been successful : Canada at 17% and then the Europeans coming in with the UK 26% followed by Germany 30%, Italy and Sweden at 34%. I have excluded France and the US because they have a really big issue with willngness to take the vaccine to begin with a % of the population of around 30%. Note - ourworldindata did not have statistics on Israel.

Anti vaxers are a problem all over. Coupled with kids not giving a fuck. When I was in the pub watching the football last weekend there was a table of maybe 15 kids, sat very close, sharing bottles by the looks of it. Pretty much clambering all over each other. We sat well away, it has put me right off going to the pub to watch any other games.

Most my family have been doing the monthly PCR testing for the ONS over the last year, we've agreed to doing it for another year along with the antibody blood test. Only 2 of us managed to get an acceptable amount of blood into our sample containers, it is rather hard.

Weekly test as employer requirement if I want to go near any company site.

Hardly, not one of the vaccine technologies/techniques is new. Suppose you will at least get the modified versions by waiting longer.

Small numbers of cases, but the it only took a small number of cases of clotting with AZ for that to get withdrawn for certain age groups. Changes the discussion massively for jabbing kids imo, and think we have the right idea at the moment of not bothering.
