Had first jab this afternoon, I'm officially on Team Monkey Snot (AZ). Fever started a couple of minutes after the jab, gave it 20 before driving off as generally felt woozy, feel OK now.

Feels like a milder version of what I had in December 2019, one minute fever, next chills, general feeling of hungoverness.

Give it two weeks though, and I will be so immune I will be able to clear up the problem in Bolton just by breathing on them.

Hmm, strategy has changed as I have been asked to book my 2nd jab 4 weeks early unless they have a surplus.

No idea if it will be the same AZ or something different.

I believe they've sped it up due to the Indian variant.

Is the Indian variant putting people in ICU when they have had one jab?

There isn't a massive amount of data yet but they are saying that the jab still helps against it, from early data. There is going to be some waffle at some point this evening about it.

Edit: apparently it still remains more transmissible but being vaccinated still blocks it/helps massively in avoiding hospitalisation.

I guess it comes down to the fact that as stated early data shows the jabs still effect but naturally I guess the efficacy drops thus they are probably trying the maximize the efficacy sooner rather than later.

At the moment its contained to the younger population and there appear right now not to be hospitalisations as much as with older ages groups. They are hoping that its not just a delay to get into the older groups and its cause of the vaccine they have had that they are not getting sick with it.

so on that basis throw as much vaccine as quick as possible to get as many with anti bodies as they can.
until data proves its not the case or it is.

Had my second Moderna jab on Saturday. Spent all of Sunday in bed. This morning felt like a bad hangover, pain is clearing hour by hour now, thankfully.

This variant has now been found in 20 people here - they say that they have traced all those who have been in contact with them .. (not sure I believe that )... They said that the UK variant was under control until it was not.

Definitely spoke too soon about feeling OK yesterday. Was fine when I went to bed, if feeling a little spaced, then at 2am - exactly 12 hours since the jab - woke up shivering one minute, then feverish the next. Feel a bit better now, just exhausted and struggling with my sense of taste a bit.

Basically a slightly less mild version of what I had in December 2019 ;)

I woke up this morning feeling considerably better than Sat-Mon thank god - at least I know my body has had an immune response which can only be a good thing.

Are we believing a word he says now he is stabbing his mates in the back after being kicked out the club?

I think he just hates himself; he thought he was joining a disruptive force in politics but it turns out that it's just the very worst of the Tory establishment.

I got the impression he is a self-serving prick with a disdain for the poorer classes. Apex Tory.

3rd world countries "We need more vaccines"

Also 3rd world countries "Nobody is taking up the vaccine, so we have to incinerate 20,000 doses"

Had my first AZ jag at 4pm Sunday. Felt fine, slightly sore arm. Woke up at 6am Monday shivering and clammy, took paracetamol and stayed in bed for a few hours. Pain spread to whole arm, kept up the pain killers until Tuesday lunchtime, felt much better yesterday afternoon. Feel good today, arm is still sore.

48 hours between jag and feeling better. Not great, not terrible. Like a chest x-ray.

Pretty much the same here - first 12 hours after the monkey snot was fine, 36 hours after that were fairly unpleasant, feel OK now, just shattered, and putting lots of extraneous, commas everywhere.

Wife has had the 5G Nanopatticle jab today (Pfizer - booooo), so we get to compare notes. She seems OK so far, but Pfizer gets you on the second one, so let's see.
