Just had my second vaccine earlier today. I am now starting to feel ill again. I hope the next time we have these they improve them as I'm not willing to be ill for a few days every time I have a dose.
It's a lot less ill than if you catch the thing.

I don't know anyone who's had it who hasn't had some long lasting effect. A few hours feeling like shit is hardly a worry when compared to that.

All bad smells just smell like onions to me now, even a year after having it

Yeah you're right compared to the real thing it's no where near as bad (one of my friends caught it and he thought he was going to die, he also has a normal healthy immune system and is only 36 years old).

FYI it's not hours of feeling ill for me it's days. The first vaccine's side effects didn't fully clear for a week.

2nd jab done!

My immediate office staff have all had both jabs now, and at the most effective 12 week gap.

Just got the wife and sister to go and that's the entire family done too.

Looks like Taiwan is going into major lock down. They have had 20 new confirmed cases. Speaking to a colleague from our Headquarters, they have all been told to work from home with immediate effect. Vaccination is slow as they are waiting on more AZ. 'Zero Tollerance of Covid' is how he put it.

1st vaccination Friday 2nd 3 weeks after - weirdly I will be fully vaccinated before my sister (same age group) although she had her first 3 weeks ago...

I doubt it'll ever be perfect, it tends to be completely random since our bodies aren't exactly the same at birth let alone after many decades of abuse :p

I had no effect on either, my parents and sister have only had one and my parents both had painful arms with my sister feeling sick all afternoon.

They also mentioned the NHS app that 'could be used to prove you have had both vaccines"

I won't be installing it unless they need it in the local, which I doubt, I don't plan on going anywhere else for a while.

Not sure I can manage another lockdown, hopefully it's kept under control.

Next time they better react quicker when another country shows no control what so ever in controlling spread rather than putting them on a red list that has far too many exclusions.

I have just had my first and they moved to 6 weeks for the 2nd in the appointment. Have to say I showed up early expecting to wait outside for a while and was taken straight in to the queue.... I thought there would be lots and lots of people here but there is not - I hope if they are booked, they are turning up :)

Halfway there already.

Ordered a firkin (72 pints) of Purple Moose ale from the brewery the other week, tapped it and let it settle. First pint was pulled 8pm on a saturday night. It was beautiful.

I'd run out by midnight Tuesday

It's not like we weren't also drinking wine, rum, cocktails, apperol, prosecco, gin and mead too ffs :(

People in the UK weren't even allowed to go and see sick/elderly relatives who lived in the next town, let alone another country. Not sure why these people feel like they've been 'betrayed' after they've flown to another country during a global pandemic and are now stuck there for a bit. It's shit obviously, but why are there always people who think they're the exception to the rule?

I have not and I am still not able to see my mum - I do not expect I will be allowed until next year depending on this new variant in the UK
