This is the case - however employers are being responsible - my guys have been able to wfh since 03/12 with less than 50% going to the office (their choice)- if anyone coughs they are sent to wfh and they are keeping to the 2m rule. Most restaurants around me moved to delivery or take away only over a week ago - I am not sure people outside Sweden are aware of this but they naturally keep a level of distance - it is a cultural joke here . I will be interested to see how the stats pan out later this year

My post was clearly tongue in cheek.

It's not a big big problem for a few weeks (though it's still a problem - born of well-meaning ignorance most likely (if not simply ease, availability and cost) - if you've ever seen supersize me you'll know how quickly a bad diet can affect your physiology).

If that resembles anyone's day-to-day then on a societal level that's as serious a problem as coronavirus tbpfh - it'll quickly lead to obesity, nutritional deficiency and potentially many complications, including cancer, lower IQ and dementia, whilst type-2 diabetes alone takes up over 10% of the NHS budget.

Which makes sense if you think about it - as more than two-thirds of the UK are fat, stupid fucks

In Sweden the departments make the decisions not the politicians. Tegnell who is the medical voice box for this crisis (State Epidomologist) is coming under a lot of fire (which is evident if you read the article) for the decisions being made today.

However it is also clear that it is currently being left to the individuals to make adult decisions and keep away from others, not go out if sick, keep 2 meters away from people you do not live with etc etc and in my area this is absolutely evident. I can not speak however for other areas of Stockholm where a lot of the spread is coming from (Kista and Spånga), however I believe that in these areas there are more people living in close quarters which only "may" explain the growth there.
