Cannot connect from the UK! Internet connection works fine but I cant play Daoc, when i'm trying to connect i getting Error Message (201) Cannot connect to update server.

when will GoA or GM's take an offical standing on this issue? been unresolved for 2½ - 3 days now. i think we proved it isnt just danish ppl being affected, and our ISP's are all saying problem isnt with them. reboot the login server or what ever the hell is wrong - please.

one my guildies had the same probs, yesterday and today. He tried to "release his wan ip", whatever that means and was able to connect to the servers right after.

IT WORKS !

well this is how i got to connect to Excalibur again.

what he means by saying "releasing hes wan ip" is that you get a new ip adress on the internet.

what i did was to turn off my adsl modem for 1 hour and turned off my router also and disabled my network controller (and did a reboot on my computer) and then enabled my network controller again again.

after 1 hour i turned my adsl modem and router on again and i had gotten a new ip adress and was able to connect to Excalibur again.

dont ask me why it work, it just does

if you got any questions (it might be a little confusing what i write) then dont hesitate asking here.

have you checked if you got a new ip adress on the internet compared to the old ip you had ?

you cant just get a new ip address if you have a static ip... this will only work if you have a dynamic ip...

i have a static so i cant do anything :'(

ok - so i have got a similar problem....

tired logging into rightnow - but it has got my original login password - and not my new password - so i cant login to rightnow to complain about it!!!!

I am currently in a hotel in Edinburgh (using swisscom wireless) - and i cannot login to excal / pryd - but i can login to camlann / italian and spanish servers.

i have tried a tracert to the Excal Server but i get a hot unreachable after the .14 server

After having tried various things i still cannot connect to the game. Rightnow page is not coming up on the camelot-europe web page, so I cant report my problem.

How does it look if you trace Camlann then? Seems very strange if you can connect to the login server but cannot play all of the servers.

Im guessing theres problems with the internal routers at goa.

have you tried getting a new ip Formand ? you need to turn off your adsl modem for 1 hour (power off) and turn off router also (dont know if its nessecary, but it doesnt harm)

rightclick on your network adapter - disable it - reboot computer - rightclick your network adapter again - enable it.

wait 1 hour now and then turn on your router and adsl modem again (and hopefully you have gotten a new ip)

maybe you can call your isp provider also and ask for a new ip (dont know if its possible, but certainly easier than waiting 1 hour)

it worked for me, so certainly a chance it will work for your guys too.
