Looked amazing and clearly very high production values (although the tent microphones sounded very flat), but I got bored at the M2 bit and turned it off. I doubt I'll bother with the rest of the series.

Ok I watched a bit more and the dead celebs thing was pretty funny.

Got as far as the intro so far.

A study on how irrelevant the BBC is now.

Does the actual Amazon series have adverts?

No but the sound is out of sync with the video. Fucked it off and downloaded from the piratebay.

Well played Amazon.

Oddly enough, my wifi is shit despite having a 200mb line, so I downloaded it instead of watching it on Amazon. And the sound was off towards the end.

Still loved it though!

I enjoyed it, but.

I just felt there was something missing from this, and I think it's the whole 'we're no longer on a prim-and-proper British channel where we pushed the boundaries, and made it funny, but now instead we're on a massive channel that we police ourselves'

I thought it took something away from the '3 middle aged blokes being twats'

Was playing it on the Amazon Player on my Samsung telly and it kept going out of sync. I had to keep pausing and resuming to bring it back in sync. Didn't have that problem with The Man In The High Castle in 4k.

Couldn't own a supercar..would feel like a flash knobhead everytime I drove it.
Not my personality, I spent 10K on the latest Superbike and spent the entire time I owned it apologising for having it.

I think there was a day a few years ago when I realised that if I won the euromillions I didn't want a supercar. I found the realisation vaguely disturbing.

It was alright, I thought the RAF bit was brilliant. It's still very forced in places though, like the "drag race".

It was a lot less cringy to watch, very under awed by the content though...a typical BBC episode had as much going on and bigger celebrities.
Fucking James fatwat Corden got Tom Hanks on his first show ffs.
I didn't even know those two...and Carol Vorderman?
Where are the millions going?

Its not about the celebs on the show tho. It was deliberate poke at the bbc show by not having them and killing them off.

I would guess it costs a bundle to have those production values. Along with moving a tent studio around the world and all.

I know, buy you would think for an Amazon spectacular and the rebirth of the worlds most popular car show , that they could get better celebs than that...I mean , look at the celebs the old show got, will smith, tom cruise all the F1 aces.
Two obscure actors ...seems very odd.
Even Chris Evans got better celebs for his rallycross car.

Um wut?

Star in a Reasonably Priced Car was the point where most TG fans went off to make a cuppa, which Clarkson and Wilman got, but had them forced on them by the BBC.

Now they're free from Auntie, what better way to celebrate being free, than to get some random celebrities and kill them?

It was fucking awful and I always skipped the star segments, they were just shit and dreadful.

Evans somehow made them even worse, by having 2 celebs and doing rallycross.

I enjoyed the first episode, was exactly what I expected it to be, just 3 blokes pissing about with some cars involved.

i only just realised that once i read it
Just watching it now, love that the 1st feature is the 3 supercars they were just about to do on Top Gear just before the shit hit the fan

intro was amazing it felt a little bit forced and scripted at the beginning but it soon settled down and i loved the little pokes at the bbc they got it out the way early on and just moved on.
the rest of the show was awesome those cars were amazing loved the mclaren it looked fucking deadly!!! all in all id give it 8/10 for the first ep it was better than i thought it was going to be and the montage for the rest of the show looks ace i cant wait for the next ep! Top Gear needs to change its format if it hopes to rival TGT maybe go back to its roots as a proper car show instead of trying to live up to 3 blokes pissing about in expensive vehicles!

Best quote from the show.
Mike Skinner in the M2
'3 litres..six cylinders...this thing couldn't pull a greasy string out of a dogs ass.'
