It will be everywhere @DaGaffer after it's been aired, you shouldn't have a problem *finding* it. If you do I will set up an FTP for you or something.

The BBC wont buy it back, it will probably end up on Dave at some point though.

Wat,

Prime Video is only in 5 countries atm, one of which is the UK.
Why the fuck would they sell it in the uk?
In every country prime video isn't in they will sell it to a national broadcaster or other on demand service.

Syndication. They will sell it in the UK, but not as first run. Probably to Dave. I think they've just sold Ripper Street back to broadcast haven't they?

As much as I love 'Top Gear' I don't think i'll be paying £80 a year just to watch Amazon Prime, they can jog on.

Well they can happily sell the older episodes a la Dave

Or even to Netflix

Just won't be the same, the delicate recipe that top gear was is lost.
Sad..just really sad and Cameron is going to kill the BBC in revenge.

I would be glad to be rid of the BBC, virtually nothing worth watching on it any more and I don't like the idea of an enforced subscription, regardless of how small it is.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the BBC is worth having to keep a brake on the worst commercial instincts of the others. Pretty much everywhere else in the world has worse scheduled telly than the UK, and the difference is the BBC, even if you don't watch it. Plus, do you think they'd gut the BBC and also get rid of the licence fee? Would they fuck, they'd still take the money and just put it into general taxation.

All of the good stuff the BBC has got rid of, it just has shit on it now. Top Gear and Nevermind the Buzzcocks were the only 2 things worth watching that the BBC had and they got rid of both of them.

AmazonGear - £160m budget.

What was the budget with the Beeb any ideas?

£4.5m per episode.

I do hope they stick to the normal way of doing average car shoes throughout the week, and every now and again it's epic.

I think having epic show after epic show will get boring tbh.

Its a 3 season deal, I would imagine that the £160m will be for all 3

36 episodes, yeah.

As I said, £4.5 per episode.

I guess it will be as I said - they'll churn out epicness for each episode, as it was clear that they made the 'specials' as a way to save money up for an epic one.

Huge budget?

I'm listening.
That's more or less what happened.

The producer that left with the trio said to the press.

He told Clarkson that Amazon would leave them to do do what ever they wanted, and give them £4.5m per episode.

Clarkson was like yus sur.

I did wonder about:

"We have past episodes of Top Gear, so we have a pretty good gauge of what audiences like," the company's chief product officer, Neil Hunt, told Digital Spy in an interview.

"Our buying decisions tend to be somewhat data-driven. We have a lot of data to get the deals we want.

"Clearly it wasn't worth the money to make the deal."

since surely as it was on TV they would naturally be lower.

One would assume that if he is also suing the BBC he didn't get the gig with Chris Evans' new show then?

Someone has given him very bad advice; his production career will be dead and buried.

I doubt it. He was assaulted and then subjected to weeks of online vitriol from some very vocal Top Gear fans. If he's a good producer, he'll get hired - being attached to Top Gear is a hell of a line on a CV in television.

Plus it's not like production staff are expected to be beaten in this day and age and he's expected not to complain about it.
I don't think it'd harm his employment opportunities.
