Watchmen by Alan Moore is an ace 'comic' and I am sure it will have been an influence on the game. (Its a cross between a book and comic actually)

For anyone who hasn't heard of Alan Moore the film League of Extraordinary Gentleman was based on one of his comics and he used to do 2000AD stuff many decades ago. (He was a lot of fun when he visited our SF group many years ago.)

CoH is attracting lots of attention - the comic scene has been huge for years - so this game is going to be a success as far as money coming into it goes. (Always good to be able to pay the developers etc ). No PvP currently bar 1 on 1 fights.

Of course if folks want PvP then it exists in spades in Lineage2. Another game that is creating a buzz - good to see the extra servers added pre-launch.

Two new games, how big an impact they have on DAoC we will know real soon. (The Lineage2 beta has already impacted US DAoC numbers following on from the WoW beat impact).

How dare you say Daredevil is rubbish!

Unless he's teamed up with someone else, he is pretty stagnant. I mean, i liked the comics of him teamed up with some of the x-men (Gambit for instance) but solo, it gets a bit boring after a while. Same for hulk realy.

And as for the movie's, last decent superhero flik i saw was Batman, and Batman 2. 3 was shite and four (despite having Alicia Silverstone and Uma Therman (Smile, you know you want to)) sucked, and not in a good way.

The X-Men films were enjoyable

Oh, and the "grind" basicly is the game atm, as there really isn't much to do apart from kill/quest/explore.

But fighting is so much fun, there doesn't need to be anything else

With the core of the game (The combat system) as good as it is, extra content will be like icing on the cake. Here's hoping we get Supergroup HQs sometime soon

Gervaise: there's no PVP at all, not even 1 vs 1. not that I could find at least, tho the website does mention an arena of some sort.

Daredevil is a wuss! Everyone can kick his ass!! I wouldn't mind seeing the film but the idea of Ben Affleck portraying a marvel super hero gives me the heebie jeebies. :/ Recently saw the Hulk and I was actually quite impressed with it despite the panning the critics gave it. It further adds weight to my theory that critics are fucktards.

well i had this game for the past 1month and so... it looks really nice but tbh after ive reached lvl 10 its kinda of a bore now... i mean u can get items like in daoc u only have some pwr ups sumthin like the spell and all look GREAT its fun but not so addictive at least not for me specially becosue it has no PvP . Is kinda an easy game not that hard u can like outrun any mob Another thing UBER is the character creation . Thats the sweetest thing bout this game i made like tons of chars becouse i wanted to see how they look . My main is called Black Velvet and im a Magic Ice Blaster Its worth a try but... i dunno also when u play in team the tactics are like press the button its not that tactical like daoc with mezz etc... i was the only person i saw who actually uses my "ice stun" and "ice root" . Here are some ss if i can manage to put them
