Played the Demo last night, have to say I loved it the atmosphere took me in quite quickly and the graphics are great even on my SD TV, the game is very playable but the only program is that im used to the right trigger being used for shooting and Bioshock adds the left trigger for powers which I am not used to so the first time I played through I didn't use any powers.

Will have to buy it, It has a very Deus Ex feel to it.

From Gamespy...

Put simply, BioShock is an unparalleled achievement. No other game comes even remotely close to it in terms of raw emotional connection. It may still be too early to name a Game of the Year, but after experiencing BioShock in all of its haunting artistic glory, every other game will have to try that much harder to even be considered as a candidate.

Not seen a bad review yet, every single one has been 90% plus.

If the demo is anything to go by, all the reviews are spot on. It's astonishingly good.

soon hopefully. I've found a very nice online football game while PES isn't here . There are quite a few bugs, as it's the beta though. You basically control one person each ;)

Got the full game this evening but only had about an hour to play so far. The game is one if not the most atmospheric game I have ever played. The graphics and detail are superb, the darkness of some areas make it super spooky. The dialouge and storyline are very interesting so far and the whole thing is a joy to play, the controls seem pretty tight and work well.

Will post more if I get a chance to play over the weekend.

Hacked version? ewwwwwww dirty man

I buy all the games I like, I just don't get fooled into buying shit that either doesnt have a demo or has a demo so short that you don't get a proper idea of the game. Be honest, how many times have you paid full price for a game only to be left disappointed? Well I don't have money to waste so I am selective in what I buy, pirating the odd game so I can decide if it is worth buying isn't the same as pirating every game that comes out and paying for nothing. Money is short so I have to be smart. ;)

So the fact it had a decent length and pretty brilliant demo and is the highest scoring game ever so far didn't tip you off that it may be worth a purchase then?

You can always sell the games you buy so the loss isn't all that much bigger than what you would waste on Dual Layer DVD :p DVD+DL's are way too expensive "just to try game out", imo. Be honest - how many games have you bought after first downloading them? Me for 360? None, this could be the first one though (downloaded 3 games so far and liked all of them, bought ~10 games ;p) :p The high risk of getting banned from Live and the high risk of this console to blow up is keeping me from buying games for it atm :S

Played for couple of hours and I'm quite speechless Oo Awesome game.

As I said, I am buying it anyway, playing the full game has just confirmed the purchase.

I used to do that bud but I was losing £10-£15 a pop and then there was all the hassle of selling on ebay because the local second hand game places were offering £20 for a game I paid £40 for 2 days earlier. A dual layer disc costs me £1.50 and I have the added benefit of a backup for any game I buy, it is a win-win. Even if the game sucks I just bin the discs and never buy it at retail. Using this method I now have 18 games I really really enjoy and I haven't wasted hundreds of pounds in the process on shit games where the reviewers just got it plain wrong.

As for the risk, I have 2 consoles and 2 seperate gamer profiles, only the unhacked console and it's profile with legit games ever gets connected to Live.

You can actually make profit by ordering from play-asia (which you have done for ~10 games?), just have to wait longer to been able to play. Anyway, I dont care if someone D/L's games and stuff, I know dozen of people claiming "I first download the game and if I like I'll buy it" which they never do (unless its required for multiplayer) so I dont buy it here either :p

Sucks that silly warez-d00ds are getting this game ~2 weeks earlier than honest customers though :S

I am sure you are right that alot of people do just that but consider me the exception. I have about £500 a year to spend on games and if I bought anything other than the best games that I know I like then that money would not go very far at all. I just use piracy as a means to an end, an awful lot of other people don't though I will admit.

Couldn't agree more bud, the amount of money I have wasted on shit games in the past would have bought me a very nice car.

With PC/Wii/360/PS3 in house I would find it impossible to use £500 on 360 games even if I had budget of £2000 - there is only few 360 games worth the cash and £200 a year would be more than enough. Using ~£1000 a year on games though :S

For the record I only D/L 360-games and started to do it ~4 months ago when I modded it (would have lost the warranty by changing the cooling anyway so modded it while I was at it :p). My lesson? The step to buy a game after you have downloaded it is wayyy bigger than what it would be without downloading it :S

Well as I said, 18 games that I really like for the 360 in 2 years and less than a dozen for the PC. £1000 over the last 2 years covers it. Under my old spending habits I would have spent double that and ended up either with a stack of games I didn't like or had to try sell them on with close to a 50% loss. I think my new method works better. :D
