Best Support Class voting poll

Started this thread coz im curious about ur opinions about the 3 best support classes of DAOC.

My vote:

1st: Bards
Heal, Ress, High level Speed n awesome CC in 1 class. U got 3 support classes in 1.

2nd: Clerics
Prolly the best healer class n amazing buffs (both enhancement n resistances ones). Shame they lost mezz. Only got a problem: really hard to find clerics that r not buffbots.

3rd: Healer
Heal, buffs n really nice CC control.

Other nice support classes i considered were wardens (pbt tank) n theur (pbt caster).

Id go with healers, not just cause Im a middie, but their distinct advantages include:

Insta single and AE mezzes and stun
Group heals (including instas)
Buffs are all good especially celerity (haste) and the new resist buffs (group)
CC - probably the best of them all
Speed - not brilliant but an advantage
Mana recharge (Purity of X) - which I beleive no other has, and is probably the most requested buff of all.

Clerics all the way, especially with the right RAs.

Oh and you missed out 9s targetted stun.

Oh, and uber leet smite

Checked forum FAQ, it seems we got the option to create polls:
To create a poll when you post a new thread, simply click the 'Yes! post a poll' checkbox at the bottom of the page, and set the number of possible responses you want to include.
When you click the submit button, you will be taken to the poll creation page, where you can specify the question and the list of responses you want to include.
You may also want to specify a time limit for the poll, so that (for example) it only stays open for voting for a week.


Searched this option n didnt find it


I like polls, our guild web site use to had 1 weekly poll, n the results of each one were really funny n created loads of comments.

1. Healer - best CC ingame, insta heals, heals,power regen, baseline buffs... what more do you need?.

2. Bard - Speed, baseline buffs, good CC, heals, end regen, power regen.

3. Druid - Grp purge RA, great heals, great buffs, aoe root (kinda worthless tho)

4. Warden - Pbt, ok heals (if you need pbt)

4. Cleric - BoF, great heals, great buffs, insta pbaoe mezsz - crap tho, singel target stun.

5. Shaman - great buffs, good heals, dots..

6. friar - hururugur.. crap heals.. no support really unless gimped

Healer : insta aoe CC and healing, plus buffs ...what more can i say ?

Druid : Group purge ..nuff said

Cleric : heals, buffs and even with nerfs youve got to love that smite/stun combo

Shaman : nice heals, greaT buffs and combines nicely with a healer in group

1. Wardens (purely for xp reasons in a fg because I hate doing that without one!)
2. Druids (becuase bards and wardens suck at healing, although my warden sucks less than most bards)
3. Bards (because they rock! and play funky tunes)
4. Mentalists (when things look bad they are nice and versatile)
5. Theurgists (not had a lot of experience in alb but I plan on get the 8sec pbt, seems worth spreading the points)

The list isn't intended as best to worst, just what I've played and tend to vaule in PvE, RvR it obviously a different matter though but in hib a grp of 2 mages, warden, druid bard and 3 tanks + NS is nice for FG vs FG.
