But its about safety? Not work. They get safe, their country gets safe eventually then they go home?

Am I missing something here? I would escape in a rusty Lada not wait for a Rolls Royce.

A. Refugee camps aren't safe. Really, really, not. And;

B. The war has been going on for four years with no sign of ending. The smart ones are saying "fuck this shit" and moving on. I'll say it again; what would YOU do?

I'm so proud that we are with Germany and the Scandinavian countries which people want to go to, as we have a reputation for a country which cares about people.

Why are people ashamed of this. :/
Causeits nice them wanting to comehere but apparently we have a housing crisis already. So where will we house them? Or if we give them housing what will that mean for the people who would have had that resource if they hadnt been there.

Ofcourse if we did have enough houses to accomodate everyone then thats not a problem.

We don't have a housing crisis in the UK at all.

We have a problem of builders being greedy, buying land and waiting for it to be worth a lot then deciding to build.

We have a lot of waste in councils and as a result contractors making a fortune on 'council houses' which councils don't want to build because people will buy them anyway.

As for 'We're too full;

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-18623096?

The reality is, people are xenophobic and don't want more non-white people in the country, and beating around the bush makes it infuriating, we don't have a problem with the NHS being 'too tight' we're happy to bring all the migrants to up-hold the NHS but we want to cut the budgets on it, then blame the same people that hold it up for it being 'crap' although its really not.

We arent building enough houses for the need. Whatever the reason. We have the space etc to build but we need to invest more in facilities like schools and doctors etc to make sure if we were to increase population by 300k again this year like last that we are all being given the same access no matter where we live.

There's a big difference between homelessness and sleeping rough...
Unsurprised at the massive increases in blighty recently. It's interesting. Nottingham under the conservatives is rammed full of street sleepers and big issue salesmen. A few years after Tony and his shower of shite got in they all but disappeared.

Nottingham's filling up fast again now...

It never has been a crisis but it is a problem.

Builders naturally want to make a profit, they certainly don't want to build a massive amount of new houses which will increase supply and reduces profits. This is the reason I always laugh at which ever government states how many houses they plan to build hoping house builders will, it is like they've forgot the business basics of supply and demand. Plus if we are talking about housing capacity then Spain is king since they massively overproduced causing the serve crash they had and a massive amount of spare housing stock that goes empty, here is another link - http://www.theguardian.com/society/...perties-enough-house-homeless-continent-twice regarding empty houses.

The BBC link you've provided I believe was more to do with urbanisation, either way there is always opposition to concreting over green areas. Perhaps a better link regarding populations - http://www.migrationwatchuk.org/briefing-paper/356

The NHS is a great institution which I've used many times, it doesn't change the fact that is more under pressure than nearly ever before and that is even though it is one department with a protected budget under the current government.

Look at the population growth over the past 100 years.

Then tell me we can't take on say 20k+ refugees, seriously.

The only reason why we're crying now about services such as schools and stuff is because of the Tories.

You can't freeze (more or less cutting) budgets, and expect the public sector to grow, it doesn't work like that, you can make it more efficient, sure, but it does hit a cap.

In Leicester, we're shutting schools down, and kids still are getting denied places.

So we are running the economy at a loss. We have cut services because we cant afford them and we are still running at a loss. How can we increase services without increasing the loss?

Also. I would guess like alot of the other migrant populations they will want to live close together. With people from their own origins so the 20k would be in a few places not spread around the country as much. Leading to those areas being pushed to their limits.

Im not saying we shouldnt but i am asking you how can we house and afford services for a lot of new people.

So far your just saying but we can without saying how.

Do we cut back on pensions. As thats the biggest part of the social bill. Or more on disabled? Close more services? And these were all problems left by the labour government over spending for more than ten years that we are now left trying to correct.

How to pay for stuff isn't really a concern if you're a socialist, you have a never ending stream of other people's money to spend.

The magic money tree, I believe it's called.

Raise taxes. If you can't cut financial demand any further, increase supply.
