without testing we cant know shit, I think I have seen that test you are talking about and it was with around 100 swings. So you cant know for sure it actually halfs it and then you cant even know for sure wether the half is before or after the cap. It could be 50% of the evade before cap and then only getting capped at 50%. So 60% evade would get capped to 50% normally, but fighting vs DW it gets halfed and ends up at 30% which isnt above 50% so doesnt get capped.

So there are two good reasons why you cant be sure that there is a 25% cap versus dualwielders, so could you kindly shut up about that before anyone actually starts to believe such story without adequate proof?

erm well yeah i solo and i team up whats the problem? just because me and Salamurhaaja spanked every infils arse on excal hes left now so i either solo or atleast try if that fails il team up and duo.

i got no problem with ppl running around as a duo but 4+ ppl is just a small zerg so shut it

Oh, and your logic is severely flawed - you assume a premise that class x is overpowered therefore you must prove otherwise. The correct premise is to assume balance, as this is the design concept and implementation, unless proven otherwise.

To take your premise would be to assume all classes are overpowered unless proven otherwise. Or to turn your question around - SBs must be overpowered, unless you can prove they are not. Can you?

I just had the misfortune of reading through this whole thread and now understand why you dont see many DAoC Excalibur meets.

Maybe it should be made a compulsory part of posting on these boards. Maybe if people here had to meet each other face to face every couple of months there wouldn't be so much venom and downright rudeness/arrogance to one another.

The reason i end up with 4++ people is because i try Duo first, or solo, try my luck getting to AMG/MMG... oh wait! there's a few SBs and a 'solo' hunter... ok, that happens lets say... 3 times....

after that i get fed up and try and set up my own group to come and out-zerg you guys.... If you cant beat em, join em...

and imo complaining about stealthzergs is a thing of the past, as we all damn well know albs do it, but mids mostly end up doing it better....

And seeing both sides - well Haldar came up with some interesting data and arguments, and some of these I was convinced by. But no one, not a soul, not one person has made a substantiated case for any of the frequent SB whines - the usual 'waa dragonfang' or 'waaa 2.5 spec points' or just the frequent aimless 'waaa an infil beat me'.

Want to give it a shot? Or are you just seeing it from your own narrow perspective?

DF = insta after evade = 9s stun
whereas
FrostyGaze chains off Comaback which is after evade... which gives enemy 2 chances to avoid a 6 SEC stun... (harder to pull off yet less time?)

combined with LA nerf..

Lies. Server Excalibur was opened on 15 Feb 2002. No one can play his/her char(s) for 2 years here. yet.

And while thrust weaponskill will be higher debuffed than that off an sb, his damage output is a lot lower.

I play a slash inf, and I do get outdamaged by sb's by a fair bit due to the haste buff. I get hit around 2 times for one of my hits.

1. u need 2nd BB to get haste - or haste pots/charges, but they are available to u too.
2. 20% haste equals to approx 8% of styled dmg increase (depends on style)
3. uberhasted SB (i am sure that there are a very very few number of them here) with 250 qui, 20% haste, and cleaver-hand axe combo will attack at
((4+2.4)/2) * (1-20%)* (1- (250-60)/500) = 1.5872 sec.
This means that u are attacking at 3.1744 sec, which is possible if u do not dual swing and have roughly 110 qui for 3.5 delay weapon, 119 qui for 3.6 weapon and 128 for 3.7 weapon, which means that u have no buffs and gimpy gear.
