The server is public, name tags are not on. You wont know who you are shooting nor will they know whom they were shot by....unless they get Axe'd...in which case it was Aada

You're nickname should be "FH-<NICK>"

It is a 1000 slot mumble server, the Dayz area is under "social"(You can only access this part of the forum).

It is important to have FH infront of you're nickname when joining, if not a part of Ancient Reign or any of the other alliance guilds. This way we can make sure that unwanted guest does not use the mumble

Just found myself a L28A or something, basically has Night+Heat visions with zeroing, I won't join the server for a while..

People hoarding trucks and stuff already? just gone to one of the known truck spawns and it's gone already also noticed a few cars in towns a long the way had gone too

Expected tbh... Also expect the server to be used as a taxi for the next few days - so people can put their car way north, taxi it down to Cherno, change server, pop a few brains, pop back, drive back north, seen it happen to a few new servers...

Can anyone explain this zeroing thingy on weapons?

if your zeroing is at 800 for instance, you shoot someone who is 800 metres away, and shoot them in the middle of the crosshair, and you'll hit them, that's basically it - just change the zeroing by page up-page down - You get range finders to find out how far away they are, or there's a video on FleaTube how to do it manually

Got myself a van, i thought you needed a toolbox to fix things up? or is that only for barbwire/sandbags?

Also how do you fill the van up at petrol pumps? i see them on Dayz Maps but can't fill up?

Are there functioning vehicles dotted about the place?

I literally stumbled across a van at a petrol station the only thing that is red is the Engine part from that the van works!

Unless some poor bastard was fixing it up and i stole it.

Am on the East Coast driving up and down looking for a Toolbox in case i need 1 and other parts.

I killed 2 guys at Baltoa after i died and stole their stuff so i don't feel too bad about dying earlier

Name tags are off specifically so this situation does not occur

B - The wife keeps talking to me when playing Day-Z which has already caused one death!

I will add people to steam when I get a change, though it doesn't seem to show up as being in game if you use the 6 launcher.

Assuming you've installed the game through Steam you can go into the Steam->SteamApps->Common->Arma 2 Operationarrowhead->Expansion->Beta folder, copy the arma2oa filepaste it back into the normal Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folder, replace the original, then you can boot the game up through steam, and then use the overlay (useful for online map etc unless you have another monitor), you then need to set the launch options(Right click AO in steam Library, click Properties->Set Launch Options), so it reads;
-beta=Expansion\beta;ca;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ;ca
