The US has the most secular constitution of any nation, by the people for the people etc. Contrasted with ours which has an official religion, and technically gets authority from a higher power, via the Queen. This was originally intended to prevent persecution of the various religions, and now the US is by far the most socially religious first world country. Surely the religious people over here should be in favour of secularism also?

Whilst technically true, the Queen has no real power. Royal Accent has not been refused on any act of parliament since the 1700's. It's more of a ceremonial post. Whilst people mock all the pomp and pageantry we still have in UK it brings in the tourist money by the bucket load.

We are due to be numerically taken over by 2066, of course by then many will have adopted british culture, so in reality the culture will survive much longer and historically adapts and absorbs other cultures into whatever british 'culture' is.
