Hay guys.

Going on holiday for a week tomorrow. Is there an app that has all of the world cup fixtures stored offline? I'm not going to be allowing data roaming and I'm not sure if I'll be able to find wifi.

Otherwise I'll just write it out as a draft email :<

Cheers.

I never saw a way of importing ics to an offline calendar?

If I run out of battery, I lose all online calendar cache and I'll be stuck with nothing.

aTides

Put in a date and a port (as local as possible) and it will show you the tide charts for the day and where the tide is at the time. A great little app if you're a fisherman or (like me) want to take photos on the coast where the tide is in or at a particular level - a quick look and I know when I need to arrive at a particular location.

Anyone got any apps that work on the desire for plant identification?

DO NOT! install the latest handcent update, made my desire go mental, it got stuck in a loop trying to send a few messages at once and forced the phone into an endless reboot cycle that I only fixed by removing my sim card. This is the 29/7/10 update by the way, hoping any newer ones will fix the problem.

Hmmm... it wants network access, no wallpaper needs that. No thanks!

No need for a wallpaper to need to do that. I'm very picky with apps, the developers take the piss far too often.

Fair enough I think I read the access is for the random code option

There's a game coming out at the end of August for Android for which I did the (very bonkers) music \o/

Not allowed to say anything about it until then but it's a giggle :D

I'll post again when it happens.

Dolphin browser HD, its pretty freaking ace. Fast, nice looking and supports add-ons.

Have they got rid of all the bloat and speed issues which ruined it in the first place?

It's an entirely different product to the one I remember. This is actually really jolly good, nice interface too.

Dunno, I've tried neither of those. Give it a bash though it's free!

Oo, love those accelerometer based 3d perspective doohickeys. It's annoying, despite my Hero now being stupidly quick Livewallpapers still don't work, they just crash and return to the regular one :\.

Flikie Wallpapers is a very nice wallpaper app, *much* better than "Backgrounds".

Has it been mentioned already? ADW.Launcher is super dope, recommended to all vanilla Android users.
