I've posted that to my Facebook to see how many badly educated morons say to me "hahah, it's an April Fools, dumb ass".

Found a promising little app yesterday, Time-Lapse-Lite. Just as it says it uses the built in camera to take a time lapse movie. You can set the interval between images and let it do the rest. The Lite version will only take very low res pics, and as far as I can tell the screen isn't ever shut down so it hammers the battery, but the results could be fun. According to the comments on market it won't work for Android 2.1 yet, but I guess they'll have to address that pretty soon.

I had a quick play today, before my battery ran out :)

Also, this looks very promising as a gps navigation solution

Aura
Ahhh... they're finally coming to market with it?
I remember signing up with Sygic last year to beta test something new. They said that they had enough testers for the UK but to keep watching for the actual release. I guess this is what they were talking about.
I liked that demo. Smooth zooms, 3D buildings, TERRAIN!

Mrs.Zenith's SE X10 is on the courier van to be delivered at some point this morning. She's like a little girl at Christmas waiting for the prezzies. :)

Aps I'm loving so far;

Fotmob 4.6 - All things football, 5stars!
Google Sky Map - Star Gazer with gps. Pretty smart this.
Mabilo Ringtones - Download any ringtone, sound effect etc FOC.
Google Goggles - Great fun, picture search the web, and scan your location for info using the camera.
Taskiller - as mentioned before, a must.
RAC Traffic - Nice to check in the morning when leaving for work, for any traffic incidents.

Why does everyone say you need a task killer? Surely if it was a problem to leave suspended processes in the background, Google would've done something about it a long time ago?

Well, afaik some apps stay open and slow down the phone/os? I know some aps don't even close with Taskiller.

I'll test it and close nothing see how/if sluggish the phone gets.

You don't really, it's a personal thing. It does speed things up if you use a lot of apps. Android is good at memory management though and kills apps itself when needed.

I use it when battery is running abit low, I paid for advanced task killer which kills everything bar Handcent when i press the button, just stops background data use dead and makes the battery last abit longer.

I ditched my task killer after reading some analysis of googles memory management, it kills stuff itself if its not used, needs the space etc only reason stuff is stored in memory is to make the phone itself load stuff faster.

I just downloaded MixZing from the market which is a damn cool music player, makes "related" song lists like itunes.

Anyone with Wavesecure notice that your battery doesn't last as long??

My phone doesnt seem to last as long as it used to but then I am using it a fair bit these days as well...playing games mostly!

SMS Backup and restore (free, Ritesh) - backed up 3500 messages from my hero and restored them onto my desire. The restore was slow, but it worked perfectly. Better than paying the international text message cost for wavesecure, and the data cost.
