Nah, seriosly, if you /FACE someone, QC, and just the fact that the opponent MOVES failes your spell, I think you should delete your char and re-create it, coz u must be utterly bugged/gimped. I've never had that kind of probs when ive played caster lately.. even if that doesnt happen to often

Right, I could easily be reduced to the same smoldering wreck Arnor just was because of the amazing amount of ignorance being displayed in this thread, but I've decided to take it easy. Suffice to say, notice that all the people who reply here saying it's not a big issue are people who have not played a caster properly in RvR.

Let me tell you one thing. I have played my caster a lot in RvR, both in groups and solo. I know the frustration of playing a caster, but I still enjoy it and continue doing it. But one of the most annoying fucking things is when I pop MoC (15 secs once every 30 minutes, 24 points to buy), only to have the tank in question exploit game mechanics so I only land a fraction of my nukes while he kills me with unstyled hits. Try to qc, and the same thing happens.

And no, /face doesn't solve it, because /face is client-side and thus prone to lag. This means that if a tank is running through me as I am casting, there is a great risk that /face will not react quickly enough, and my nuke will not hit since line of sight is determined server-side.

One last thing -- yes, strafing around is lame (don't you just love people who even strafe in duels?). I would post a link to a movie of a duel between Whyp and Talivar to show you how it's really done (5+ minutes of blocking and hitting, and none of them turn an inch throughout the entire fight), but I lost that one.

This is a distributed game running on the Internet. There is always lag. There is always a consistency issue involved.

I am not talking about people who lag so that they are unable to play, I am saying this problem exists even for people with extremely good connections. And this problem is much worse for casters than melee chars, since you are pretty much dependent on not making a mistake and getting off that qc or MoC or you are dead, whereas a tank can afford to miss a style or two due to the target being out of range.

Well i ofc its importent as hell to nail all nukes as a caster(or get all styles in as a kobbie sb vs infs ).. but its not cheating or bug abusing doing something like this.. insted whine about fixing /face, making it server side or whatever would fix it, insted of accusing ppl of cheating.
