altho Daoc seriously lack in terms of "player skill" in general.

But most skilled guild? well the strongest group setup at the moment in DAOC is a savage group and the people with most experiance with Savage groups are Nolby us and probley Atrocity so if everyone was rr10 it would be one of the above 3 who would be winning the most but then that would only show you know how to play the strongest setup in the best way and not actually show the most raw skill.

Why is this so difficult to understand? If we can fully control the DAoC server, we will be able to set up any kind of situation we want. All right, JH/NP/Atrocity might win the Mid savage grp vs Mid savage grp round, but what happens if both of the dueling guilds have to play Alb merc-based groups? Alb caster-based groups? Hib PBAE groups? Hib BM-based groups? All RAs disabled? All RAs available? What happens if we remove BoF, GP, SoS, or, better yet, give them to other realms as well?

There's 3 or 4 'active' hib/pryd players, just over a full group of active players on alb/mlf and lots on mid/excal.

COaD and DoL tho looking good are a fair way off completion. DoL has resently(sp?) whiched from c++ to c# with am xml database, So expect a little time for that to get on its feet proper. I believe there datalogging is going fast, with something like 80% of mid complete, But the main parts of the fighting system and spell system hasn't surfaced much yet. Yeah its open souce, But that realy don't make it better

COaD Is c# and xml database also, But has been that way for a while. I prefer this 1 over both as its scriptable, Meaning you can add and remove stuff at will without going over pages and pages of code. The fight system and res/spells system is early testing and seems promising.

On the whole, They both look very good, But they both going to be a while off yet.

If im better or not then Xanatea witch i belive most ppl think is the best pac healer does it matter, not really both are able to do well and both do not play "best" all the time right.
I've never grped with xana really but i really give my respect out to xuth maybe cus he where more experienced with the game when i grouped with him long time ago.

Anyhow determing skill is rather pointless you know who you win and loose too and even if savages insta kill everyone sometimes you win some of the "random" savage grps and why because you know something and did the right thing or using the right setup.
