I'd love to have a 2nd quick bar (or slowbar?) on my UI. Druid has so many abilities that are needed quickly that you just can't fit them on one bar, yet they need to be accessed quite fast sometimes.

So what I'm looking for is an additional QB-like bar where you can drag and drop macros/spells/artifacts but it doesn't need to have hot keys mapped like in the traditional QB.

Yes I know, shift+# switches QBs but I don't like that as much as an additional bar.

cant be done, as there is no code in place for 2nd qbar

you can set up a custom window with buttons you can click...

pretty sure I've seen a UI with something like that.

Aye, Naetha's Trueblue has a small QB with sprint, face and stick on it, awesomely handy.

hmmh. Well I guess I'll have to qbind then... I wonder how I'm gonna get them all right :/

Edit: What if you make a copy of the QB.xml to some custom window and then edit it? Doesn't work or?

The quickbars are hardcoded by Mythic so we can't do anything to edit them - you could make the quickbar appear to have more slots but you couldn't use the extra slots as they'd only be there in the image.

If you download either of the mods from the site in my sig you can try the qbar extension that puts stick sprint and face on a seperate window to look like a 13 slot qbar, or have a look at www.daocmods.com and browse through UIs to download that also have this feature.

like Gear says you can put qbinds all over the place if your running low on q-bar space. This makes a pretty major difference.

(incase your unaware of the command)

/qbind X Z

where:
X is the quickbar number
Z is the number of the ability you want binded on quickbar X

After you input this command the next key you press will be binded to that ability.

The only problem with /qbind is that there's not that many keys left that you can qbind to. You can't unbind they keys that Daoc has default bound - like almost all the keys on the keypad as I discovered to my annoyance.

I don't used 7, 8, 9, 4, 5, 6, 2 and 3 for the functions Mythic gave them, but I don't have the ability to give them a meaninful function either. :)

I suppose that with a combination of that True Blue UI and /qbind you can go quite far in customizing your keyboard. :)

Erm, afaik if you go into the keyboard bit from the options on the character select screen you can unset the useless default bound keys (like combat page, spells page that you're never going to use in anger). Then the next time you log in you can qbind those slots.

Problem is that the cursor keys are the same as the numpad keys as far as daoc is concerned, so I can't free them up without losing my cursor keys as well. :/

Pfft. Saying things can't be changed in a massive is a load of bull. Just lazy coders :p

Ofcourse there might be additional bugs 'n such that would appear, servers go down, the whole system go up the nilly but still...it CAN be done.

Lazy mythic.

Or that they don't want another quickbar in their game. whichever comes first.

Big problem is, eg: the end button (below home, above arrows) are the same as keypad 1 in daoc, so for 0-1-3-7-9-, thou i used /qbind to bind numpad 5 and 1, and skipped the use of the normal end key since its to far from my mouse hand. You can also use /qbinds to mouse, i got reset camera on my mouse4 key, so i can pan cam and reset it wihout moving any hands at all.

Ohh little add, as said the 2-4-6-8 on keypad also do the same as the normal arrows... such Mythic logic

Out of curiosity - those that want to be able to qbind the numpad keys - do you use wasd to move or arrow keys?
