I gave up trying to make an account yesterday and decided to leave it til today, but now I'm confused by all the updates; is the account registration working or not?

Yeah I go the new metallica album couple of days ago, its meh, better than the last 3 or so though.

What if you had a website account from before but couldn't register the OB key yesterday? Can you still do that 16:00 CET or do you need to get a spare e-mail, new account name, etc and register all over again?.

Not quite it's 4pm CET, there are a number of timezones in the EU (including the UK)

The auth servers are coming back up - meaning validation etc will work.

Just got outta bed and i see it's still a disaster lol.I was lucky enough to get my key registered in the early hours and actually try the game, which is pretty good loving sword master and shammy.Your characters appear to be deleted as soon as you log of a server lol no biggy really as we will just try out every class, only bugs i have come across appear to be bugged mobs anyway i hope you all get on today and get a chance to try the game. ( on a side note im was completely unimpressed with the ToK just a loada useless info really lol)

is it a new system to register on, create new accounts on and then activate our keys or...

is the old registration serive still the same and this is just something new behind the scenes purely to register keys?

Several teams are now working together diligently to bring you an improved key validation procedure. Once our internal tests turn out positive we will launch this service as soon as possible. This has been the nr. 1 bottleneck in allowing players to join the Open Beta servers so we have high hopes for these changes. More updates to come!
