i played with the americans in eve-online and the action only started at around 10pm GMT so you would probably have to stay up really late for sieges or any real RVR if you went to the mythic servers for this game.

the sad thing is i have no faith in GOA beeing able to resolve this anytime soon, it wouldnt suprise me if most of us were still waiting to get in the beta on wednesday.

btw i managed to get the verification thing to work twice at around 6:30am GMT and it said my key was invalid

so i guess GOA never fully resolved that issue either, im only still trying because i have a 2nd CE pre order box maybe that code will work...

I do work, but it was never a problem, all the servers were (in my experiance) busy at all times, it was not just americans who played their servers, there were loads of ex EU guilds there too, infact when i first went there, US servers were better populated even during the day than the eu servers

They took registration and authentification down yesterday Tiani, and as far as im aware haven't put it back up.


I myself have the email and crap through just can't login to finish it all off.

*sigh* Well, that was a waste of taking a day off. If I had known in advance I'd have taken a day off near the end of the week (yes, I know, it was stupid to hope. I had expected it to have troubles at start, but I was hoping it'd be up and running by sunday evening, which is why I took today off).

Seriously thinking of buying a US downloaded version. Anybody know if Direct2Drive works for Europeans?

It wasn't for most of DAoC's high population life - and I played on a server that never had many European players on it. On early Bors (say the first 18 months to 2 yrs of the game), there was a 2hr window of playtime that was a bit quiet, late morning UK time. Population down to 100'ish. Whenever that pop hit 125, things started to kick off. Those in that window had plenty of alarm clock raids to fight off, so there was no shortage of fun. Bors was the lowest pop US server at the time, and Hib was the lowest pop Realm, so that should add some perspective. PS. I also killed Shiztroll the legendary Mid leader (Mid were the hugely overpopulated Realm at the time) quite a lot - Shiz was a really smashing guy, and you couldn't wish for better as a Realm enemy.

For WAR, all it needs is to flag a few servers Stateside for European players to concentrate on, and it's basically sorted.

As we told you in previous news, the account validation system has been taken offline while our technical teams work on it. A lot of work has been done and some of the hardware on the database server has been changed as well as a lot of software improvements and our teams are still working hard to prepare the systems.

As a result, we will launch a new code registration page today at 16:00 CET. This new page will feature a delay between registration and account validation but you will still receive a confirmation email within a few minutes of creating your account.

If you had already created an account yesterday and have a validation email then you will still be able to follow the link from that email after 16:00 today to validate your account, if you do not have an email then you should create a new account as described above.
