Everytime i start the game(patched and everything) i get an error "Authentication failed - application will now terminate". Anyone else has the same problem?

This is after the EA logo and when the background to the game is loaded. Any clues? did a Full file check aswell...

Is noone else received the "auth server momentarily unavailable" message after a 414 on the product key page?

I don't click OK on the 414 box but it is overwritten by the auth server message.

After over an hour spent spamming 'Yes' I got a weird screen with a green painted shield and the words 'Key Activated' followed by a button 'Return to Homepage' .... tried the patcher with the login and no joy 1st attempt but 2nd attempt is patching - hang in there people and when you get to the 'Validate' / 'Yes' stage don't give up !

I had a 'No longer logged in.' error returned to me when spamming 'Yes' and the page freaked a little so I popped open another IE tab, called up the same page tried to authenticate (failed) and then switched back to the original tab, and eventually the 'Yes' button appeared again. Not science, may have been unnecessary, but it worked for me.

Thats what I did.. Just try opening the game see if it will patch for you. May take a few miuntes think I clicked yes about 4 times (3-4mins) before I got to patch

It accepts your key & asks you to confirm.

When hitting yes on that bit run up the patcher once in a while & try to login.

'Yes' will eventually return you the 'Key Validated' screen but I seen other posters saying they got 'Key Already in Use' - either way, coupla minutes later and you'll be in the patcher.

Afaik, every error mssg at this stage can be ignored, keep plugging away.

i'd just like to add ... i think only a certain amount of people can see that enter beta key stage at one time tbh ... i only got it pop up when someone literally had theirs accepted.

My first enter key stage was at about 10am and stated my key was no longer valid (or expired or something). Did't realise it would take 15 hours longer to get to it again but at least this time it got confirmed.

i think my theory is right, only a certain amount of people can be in the entering beta key stage at any given time ... someone did theirs i got in ... i did mine skaven got in. there is a pattern emreging if this is the case stick at it guys!

it validated first time for me which i promptly followed up with 3' yes's and bingo i got the splash screen saying ACCEPTED!

so lets it doesnt take you too long ... give it time between each attempt.

Been hitting the validate key thing for like 2 hours and have got nothing whats more the last part of my key is smudged its either a d or a o,they cant even print a fucking cd key properly.

I'm patching now.

The key is to first ignore the error banners.

Then when you get to the final stage of clicking "yes" to confirm, do it a few times and then trying logging into the patcher.
