Given up trying to register a new account, tyring to log in with my original account but even that still fails.

We are not going to be playing open beta today folks............... anyone from GOA care to comment?

I can log onto my old account fine and get the code entry page up - just getting the multitude of errors everyone else is getting on entry thou.

Just because the website has issues doesn't directly effect the game it self does it? They aren't directly linked in any way. So just because we're having difficulties with the webby, the game can still go ahead as planned. We just have to get to that stage ...right?

I used Opera Browser, works fine. I don't think it has much to do with the web browser you're using

To be fair, the will only get hammered like this twice in it's entire lifetime, so there is very little point in spending money on additional infrastructure to make it go smoothly at those two times when it will just be a waste of money for the rest of the time.

Been stuck on the final confirm page for well over an hour now, all im getting is the EPIX!! 414 error .I do feel we are all bonding on here though its great fun lol.

They need to make sure it'll work reasonably well in this sort of conditions so that launch day isn't totally awful, nothing better than a real live load test.

I'm getting also "in use" messages for nickname, login, email etc. I assume that my account is made, though i didn't get to the Confirmation -page, when i clicked confirmat the summary-page, i got 414 error..

I hereby request that all Closed Beta testers add CB to their name so I can kill them all for being lucky bastards that have been able to avoid today's crappy signup process.

CB players have had their share of this mess, trust me. It was exactly like this when I downloaded the first CB client, the flash website sucked a year ago just like it sucks today, downloads got stuck and all that lovely stuff.

Lol! Last I heard flash was a hell of a lot more load on the servers than html, I mean does anyone else use flash on a high volume server? Not that I know of.

Think Daoc was a real live road test for their Flash based Reg and Website. It failed then and still fails now. Fact its War isnt a factor in todays mess. GOA fail

don't bother with firefox or chrome - I just d/l IE 7 and got straight to the 414 error - progress!

Ok after an hour plus on the final comfirmation page i get to the end and am now awaiting the email, think ill go do something else now as i fear emails will not arrive for a good few hours, good luck all .
