the ineptitude of GOA is amazing, i have to laugh otherwise i would cry.
such a shame, as to what looks like a great game, getting off to such a shambolic start.

Many of us did but:

it's called "customer service" chump, they obviously expecy us to still pay them to play when it goes live, which personally i am getting less and less likely to be doing.

I have already told the 30+ mates i was planning to play with that if i can't get in by tomorrow evening and there is no sign of GOA talking to their customers and giving me any confidence that the live launch won't also be hopelessly botched, we shoud all move to the Us servers.

truth is i'm not paying for this lack of service, if it doesn't improve i think many other gamers will think the same. It'll be easy enough to order the US game online and get the CD key e-mailed, tons of retailers offer that service.

Borek tell them at DAoC launch, offpeak play was fine. I was on the lowest pop Realm on the lowest pop server just after launch (Bors Hib), and there was only about a 2hr window in the morning (European morning) when things were sometimes a bit quiet. Numbers then were hovering round about 100 on Hib, and as soon as things hit 125 things started to kick off.

Must admit about 100 of us in that time window often had alarm clock raids to defend against (mostly successful defences), which were amongst the best fights I ever had in DAoC (especially one successful solo defence of Crauch against Shiztroll's Mids on my Enchanter lol!).

It was only when the game had pretty much died, and overall populations became an issue, that the time differential really kicked in.

Im all the way in HAHA....boring is tho cant join any server "game is closed" so ill just hang here change the game settings 100-200times see if that work as intended

MY STATUS.

Tried initially to create new account only to fail time after time, gave up on that.

Tried time after time to log in with my original account............ after abot 2 hours I logged in and was presented with a key enrty screen, kept getting 141 error when validating then was eventually just kicked out...... I have not since been able to log back in. I also still cannot create a new account as if I manage to dodge the 414 error I get message telling me my names and email address are already in use.

What the hell am I supposed to do??? I cant actually do anything? yet I hear of people who have crated accounts and entered keys and are pretty much ready to go!!!!

Why is it when things go wrong the people who are the only contacts with GOA seem to vanish, there is no official forum which makes things twice as bad.

All it would take is a some sort of official person in the know to say sorry lads and lasses we got this problem then go onto say we will have it sorted soon or we dont know when it will be fixed, we will make a post on the europe site saying when its fixed so you dont have to keep trawling through unofficial forums because we dont bother to host our own anymore since early daoc days....

Ok people still be pissed off and yes people will obviosuly still find something to moan about, and yes I think its valid enough GOA was over confident in there system and its failed badly but atleast people would know whats going on instead of just sitting there waiting for emails or for error 414 messages to vanish...

So come on Someone give us your prospective customers the heads up and actually tell us whats going on.....

I just wanted to let you know that GOA is hard at work right now to correct these issues. I'm busy with the US side of things but I'll do my best to work with their community team to keep you all informed.
