Well having been in the game on Mythic's servers now, I can say it's a really nice game, no issues to report (only me totally missing a quest tab so I couldn't find a lump of mud to throw for a couple of minutes lol!) as yet.

Keep your chins up, there's loads of us rooting for you.

Took me less than 3 hours to get into US-beta and that includes downloading the client + patching Cancelled my EU preorder and ordered US-version instead - too many years of pathetic customer service with DAoC and looks like things haven't changed. GOA simply fucked things up and they dont deserve my money.

Could I ask where you downloaded the US Client so fast?

I went to WarCry Network and got a US key in minutes, just need the client now. If I can download at work, that would be great!

Since we launched our new validation system yesterday, players have been flooding onto the beta servers. We've been working on the systems constantly and at the moment more than 70,000 fans are able to play. Some of you however have tried to validate your codes and have received a message saying that they were invalid. If this is the case, please take note of the following points:

The letter 'I' can sometimes look like the number '1'
Likewise on some printed sheets, the letters 'D' and 'O' may be hard to tell apart
A zero will be printed as an 'O' with a line through it.
Please ensure that you are only trying to validate an open beta code, headstart or bonus item codes are not valid at this time, the system will now reject these codes immediately to make it easier for you and to prevent the wrong codes from being submitted.


Previously when you validated your code, there was a delay between the confirmation email and you being able to access the servers, our technicians have worked to remove this delay and now you will be able to patch and play as soon as your confirmation email is received. The last remaining 10,000 players who were waiting for access can now join the action on the servers.




I get the feeling that there are more than 10,000 peeps waiting for an email though.

True but then good planning can still end up with disasters sometimes, thats what makes rolling new things out such a nervy time.

nahh in my experience .. if you've done enough testing and stress tested the process before opening it up...... productionising a solution should be seamless... (these guys seem to have had ages to do it)... I could be wrong...

But on what I've seen.... these guys have no idea....

When we start paying money.. that's when it gets serious... That's when people leave...

Let's hope they learn (hhoo hum DAoC should still be in their memory)...

im getting really annoyed now, i got the your code has been validated at about 4 p.m yesterday afternoon and i still cant get into the game and still havent recieved an email... one of my friends who validated at about the same time has been in sine 9.pm yesterday but to mu knowledge still hasnt recieved an email....

when will i me able to get in??? - if i hadnt been round to a friends house to see him playing and see how good it looked i probably would have given up by now.
