50% Crit hits in RVR.

Well i ran into this caster near bled, blue con, i hit him for 465 + 450 crithit + my damage add. But then i was told there is a 50% crit hit cap in rvr and talked to a few people that also had this happen they got up to 99% crit hits, so is this another bug, i sent a report to right now, but have not got an answer in 1 week.

Zerkers are the only class that are able to crit for 99% of basedmg in rvr, every other class can do max 50%.

lol thats a load of crap i critted more than my weapon did,my sword did about 190 when the crit was 197 or something,kind of strange really.But i have hitted more than 50% crit damage a fair amount of times.

I've also critted for more than the actual damage, in PvE that is. I rarely make more than 30% crits in RvR.

One of my styles overhit its cap by 61 on a lv50 ns and it was - damage

Crit values are taken before resists I think, so if someone has high resists you can get a large looking crit on them.

my armsman did crits for 500+500 sometimes in RvR so i dont know how you cant have 100% crit :sleeping:

I think it is to do with epic armours too.

I think i read in a patch note somewhere that there is a cap for 50% in RVR. But i'm to lazy to search.

yea i heard about 50% being cap too but the other day did a PA for 700+ critical hit for 650... maybe its in a later patch?

are you sure that wasnt a 197 proc? i've never seen any crits doing more damage than my weapon, but seen a couple at 99%

Best I've ever seen was on my mentalist, my staff procced for 107+60 crit.

You perform you xxx style (+50)
You hit XXX with your sword for 150 (-50)
You critical hit for 100.

Well the 100 dmg crit is more than 50% of the actual 150dmg.
But is exactly the 50% of the 150+(-50) = 200 dmg.

I think you got the point.

Nope i am using crafted at the moment but i have only seen this once so far in rvr but i have critted over 50% that's for sure a few times.

Why don't some people post an actual screenie of thee things?

Cos the other day I hit this lvl 50 for 800 + 1200 crit, and he died in one hit, and has since deleted his char and any BW accounts he might have had so unfortunately he can't confirm it, but it did happen cos look I wrote down the numbers 800 and 1200!!

Oh and matt, I overhit above my cap on taroc one time, because someone had attack speed debuffed me, which affects style caps

Until i see a screenie to prove otherwise, i still believe RvR crits are capped at 50%

and Pudz nice PvE crit there, now imagine a Troll bezerker with a slow ass 2H and zero Qui in rabbit mode hitting Havoc/Tyr's combo, thats a 2 hit kill if ever i saw one regardless of class.

Obviously needs some luck with his crits, but a nice 75%+ crit would do the job nicely.

Incidently any 50 LA/Axe zerks tested to see if Tyr's/Havoc compares to Snowsquall/Icy?
