50% Crit hits in RVR.

Here's the actual mathematics of it.

Max Crit = 50% of cap without taking into account resists.

What does this mean? well let's take my inf for example..

PA cap is about 750.

Crit cap therefore is about 370ish

Now I could PA someone for say... 350 - assuming they are wearing good armour and have a little thrust resist yet still get a crit of 370.

Alternatively I could PA someone for 750, and get a crit of 370 - ouch - that's only happened a few times if I recall correctly :)

Anyways, there's the simple formula for you - it is based on CAP not on actual damage dealt. Also it is calculated to ignore resists. I personally feel that is slightly buggy, but hey, whatever works.

Was reading a post made by a TL on Whinegn, and he wanted magic damage upped to 100% crits, so they'd be on par with melee crits.

So... is this true? That melee crits are infact 100%

If so, gifv 100% crits for casters!11! k m8 plz omgroflplz m8!!11!½

No it's not. It's exactly how Jadow explained. Notice how noone saying they get more than 50% crits in RvR can actually cough up a screenie.

Give me a few mins while I log in and go to emain and you will have your screenie of a crit that is over 50%

well that still keeps it in line with what jadow said, bout it being 50% of your cap with whatever style you used.. since presumably your doublefrost caps are 400+ or so?

I hit for 591 + crit of 1 during one fight today.

Not my idea of a critical hit, but not going to moan about the regular damage :)
