He probably wanted to leave in the summer and is agitation for a winter exit.

I don't blame him really - he's not got long left.

It lacks class, but I bet that he was given assurances when he started but they weren't met.

He clearly doesn't understand British people if he thought talking to Piers Morgan would bring him any sympathy

I don't think he cares tbh - I think he just wants to shit on the club so hard they'll have to let him go in January.

I still don’t get why they didn’t let him leave or even entertain the idea during the summer. I wonder if we’ll ever know the logic of keeping one of the highest earners and not play him. Granted, he doesn’t fit the style of play wanted by Ten Hag but everyone already knew that so that’s a lot of money for a sub.

Marketing value maybe?

The bit about them allegedly doubting the situation over his daughter when he had already lost his son was a bit harsh.

Doesn't matter. You don't deal with that with an expose all interview with Pierce Dorgan.

If it gets you what you want - out of the club in January - then meh.

Piers Morgan aside, what he's doing isn't that far different to other players who have forced their exit/transfers/release. With some other players, downing tools and refusing to play/train or score an own goal (Gallas) forced their clubs' hands but in this case it looks like Cristiano is desperate. 10 appearances this season of which 6 were off the bench. Give or take, that's about 50% of the games.

The bit I don't get is why keep him just to sit him on the bench and not even use him. I don't really care about the emotional side but I can appreciate the Glazers favouring numbers and unless he's tied to some advertising deals I don't get it.

The whole thing was a total knee-jerk reaction, United only re-signed him in the first place because it looked like he was going to City.

Watched bits of Ronaldo's interview last night. The man has honestly gone up in my estimations. Still not sure that he has gone about it the right way, but it does help explain UTD's decline.

Anyway, UTD are definitely not happy about it, they took his poster down from Old Trafford.

Yeah, I mean, a child dying and worrying about its twin is real touchy feeling stuff...right?!

Good so far, what was most impressive in his recent England appearance was his commitment and effort.
£100m+ of good?

I get he's A) young and (importantly) B) English (which adds price) - but still. A fucking hundred million he'd better be as good as De Bruyne really!

If Wales weren't in it, I'd not be arsed with this World Cup. Cat bring myself to not watch the first one since '58 though.

Of potential, it's a risk as always.
