Even with the ban Saurez is still worth £75m+ IMO. I can't see Barca or RM losing interest - he's too good of a player.

I can see Barca signing him and selling Sanchez to Arsenal like Madrid did with Ozil last year. That or Sanchez to Liverpool plus upwards of 40 million for Saurez.

80m Euro's is the figure that is being spoke about for him recently, I would not pay more then 50m for him personally as for all the greatness of the player, without even receiving a red card he has basically missed an entire season of football through bans for behavioral issues (32 matches since 2011 i think it was).
It is a huge risk, though I suppose he may be more "relaxed" in Spain and less likely to lose the plot for no reason in stressful situations

I think the BBC or someone had an employment solicitor that said if he has an ethics clause in his contract then they can withhold his wages. If they don't they can sue him for breach of contract but that is the end of him.

If any club lawyer did not have such clauses added he would not be doing his job, which is to protect the club. Liverpool's dilemma will be how much they want they want to keep him. Stop paying him and he might refuse to play at all giving the club no choice but to sell him.

Amazing first half, slowed down after that but an incredibly enjoyable game for the drama and tension. Sad for Chile though, they really deserved to go through if for nothing other than their pure commitment. Would be wonderful to see England plays put half that amount of effort in.
